Periclistus Foerster, 1869 Periclistus is similar to Ceroptres genus in the shape of the first metasomal tergite but females have the 2nd metasomal tergite completely fused with the 3rd (a suture is present between them in males); the face with striae irradiating from cly­peus, except in the median area which is convex (Fig. 2A). Three species are known from the Western Palaearctic region and two of them are present in Hungary. Key to the Western Palaearctic species of the genus Periclistus Foerster 1.
