S. Mahunka szerk.: Folia Entomologica Hungarica 64. (Budapest, 2003)

Holotype: female, "Mongolia, Chovd aimak, 3 km N. von Somon Uenc im Tal Uenc gol, 1450 m, Exp. Dr. Z. Kaszab, 1966, Nr. 616, 02.07.1966". The new species resembles to Pristiphora fausta (Hartig, 1837). But P.fausta has head and abdomen yellow and the abdominal tergites only with black longitu­dinal line, sawsheath and legs black. 6.0-8.0 mm. Pontania mongolodolichura sp. n. Head and antennae black. Labrum yellow. Brown: mandibles, 1-1 spots on the temples (one paratype has black head). Thorax black, tegulae yellowish brown, cenchri whitish. Legs yellow, basal half of femora and upper side of tarsi brown. Abdomen black, cerci yellow. Wings hyaline, stigma entirely whitish yellow, ve­nation ligth brown. Ratios of the antennái segments - 4:4:17:19:17:14:11:12:13. Ratios of the hind tarsal segments = 19:9:6:4:10. Length of a cercus : length of the last tarsal segment = 11:10. OOL:POL:OCL = 10:9:7. Length of the sawsheath : hind tibial length = 1:1. Head, mesonotum, mesoscutellar appendage, mesoscutel­lum, finely, densely punctured, shining. Mesopleuron shining with fine coriaceous surface sculpture. Abdominal tergites with fine transverse sculpture. Sawsheath very elongated as shown in Fig. 3. Cerci as long as the sheath. Apical setae of the sawsheath straigth. Claws bifid. Head subparalell behind the eyes. Clypeus sligthly emarginated. Supra antennái pit deep and elongated. Length: 4.0 mm. Holotype: female, "Mongolia, Central aimak, SO von Somon Bajanzogt, 1600 m, Exp. Dr. Z. Kaszab, Nr. 519, 11.06.1966". Paratypes: 2 females, labelled as the holotype. The new species is related to Pontania dolichitra (Thomson, 1871 ) and P. narzikulovi Muche, 1976. These two species have clearly bicolour stigma, while the stigma of the new species is entirely monochromatic. A short key to the dolichura-group of Pontania Definition: Sawsheath elongated, blunt, cerci as long as the sawsheath, as shown in Fig. 3. 1 Stigma bicolour, colour variable 2 - Stigma monochromatic, head mainly black, except labrum which is yellow, and mostly 1-1 spots on the temples.
