Remarks - The new species is close to C. lobifrons Murphy et Lee, 1971, which species was captured in the canopy of a rain forest (Murphy & Lee 1971) as well, and in some respect also to C. protrufrons Yang et Liu, 1999 and C dactylifrons Yang et Liu, 1999. Coniopteryx alticola differs from all of the three above-mentioned species because of the strong caudal projection of gonarcus, and the peculiar shape of the Figs 14-17.
