Soós. - Wéber identified this specimen as P. montanus (cf. Wéber 1975a: 41, 1976: 11), but it proved to be a misidentification, thus P. nigrinus (the senior synonym of P. montanus) will be deleted from the Hungarian checklist (cf. P. styloformis). Platypalpus candicans (Fallén, 1815)— 1 female: Tabdi égeres [forest with Alnus], 1962. V. 29, leg. Soós Á.; 1 female: Pusztavám, tó [lake], 1963. VII. 9, leg. Horvatovich. - Wéber identified these specimens as P. verralli (cf. Wéber 1975a: 43, 1976: 13), which proved to be a misidentification (probably also Wéber 1987: 254), thus P. verralli will be deleted from the Hungarian checklist (cf. P. cursitans). Platypalpus commutatus (Strobl, 1893)— 1 male: Vérteskozma, Fánien-v. [valley], 1961. IX. 15, leg Mihályi; 1 female: ibid, leg. Zsirkó; 3 female: Vértes-hg, Csókakő, 1961. IX. 29, leg Mihályi. - Wéber identified these specimens as P. longicomis (cf. Wéber 1975a: 36, 1976: 10); this is the first reliable record of the species from Hungary (cf. P. incertus). Tóth S. - Wéber identified these specimens as P. verralli (cf. Wéber 1975a: 43, 1976: 13), which proved to be a misidentification (probably also Wéber 1987: 254), thus P. verralli will be deleted from the Hungarian checklist (cf. P. candicans). Platypalpus incertus (Collin, 1926) — 1 female: Csákvár, Hajdúvágás, 1961. V. 12, leg. Mihályi. - Wéber identified this specimen as P. commutatus (cf. Wéber 1975a: 33, 1976: 7), which proved to be a misidentificaiton (cf. P. commutatus). Platypalpus mikii (Becker, 1890) — 1 female: Zempléni-hg, Suslya-v, erdő [forest], 1960. VI. 23, leg. Mihályi. - Wéber identified this specimen as P. eximius (cf. Wéber 1975a: 46; 19756: 49; 1976: 8), but it proved to be a misidentification, thus P. eximius will be deleted from the Hungarian species list. Platypalpus pictitarsis (Becker, 1902) — 1 female: Hortobágy f. partján [riverbank], 1957. VIII. 27-29, leg. Mihályi; 1 male: Pécs, 1959. V. 12, Dr. Wéber; 1 male: Pécs, 1960. V. 23, Szalay. - Wéber identified these specimens as P. annulipes (cf. Wéber 1961: 430, other specimens under/! annulipes are correctly determined). These are the voucher specimens for P. pictitarsis, although among the ca. 90 specimens (det. Wéber: P. pictitarsis) in the HNHM there can be many others belonging to this species (cf. Wéber 1975a: 69, 1976: 12, 19816: 209). Platypalpus pygialis Chvála, 1973 — 1 female: Tihany, Szarkádi part, 1958. VIII. 30, leg. Mihályi; 1 male: Pusztavám, Lépa-kút [well], 1963. VII. 9, leg. Horvatovich; 1 female: Szeged, Fehértó, 1949. VI. 21, leg. Z-Sebess. - Wéber identified these specimens as P. albiseta (cf. Wéber 1976: 6); new species to Hungary.
