S. Mahunka szerk.: Folia Entomologica Hungarica 62. (Budapest, 2001)
(e.g. Aoki & Ohkubo 1974, Balogh & Balogh 1992), without doubts the new species belongs to the genus Oripoda Banks, 1904. The species of the genus are spread in all zoogeographical regions, excepting the Palaearctis and the Australian region. The new species is well characterised by the uncovered sensillus, very long and flagellate anoadanal and the short and simple notogastral setae. It resembles Oripoda humerata (Balogh, 1959) from Angola, but its rostral apex simply rounded (a short nasiform extension present in humerata) and anterior margin of the notogaster vawed (straight in humerata) and the anoadanal setae very long, flagellate (long but mostly straight in humerata).
