diameter. Head from front wider than high (20:17). Antenna (Fig. 16) with A 1 shorter than height of head (14:17); hairs of flagellum sparse, hardly as long as width of segments. Mesosoma 1.6 times as long as wide, almost 1.2 times as high as wide. Sides of pronotum reticulate-coriaceous in upper anterior corner, rest smooth. Mesoscutum uniformly and longitudinally reticulate-coriaceous, almost bare; notauli complete and deep; mid lobe prolonged posteriorly, reaching base of scutellum; scuto-scutellar grooves wide and hairy. Mesopleura smooth. Scutellum (Fig. 17) sculptured as mesoscutum, with a few hairs; spine fully as long as propodeum, semitransparent, slightly upturned. Visible anterior part of metapleura with whitish pilosity all over, posterior part as well as entire propodeum covered by a foamy whitish structure which laterally extends to posterior margin of Tl. Fore wing longer than body (33:29), 2.4 times as long as wide, with faint yellowish tint, microtrichia rather strong but not dense; marginal cilia one-third the width of wing. Hind wing about 10 times as long as wide; marginal cilia 1.5 width of wing. Metasoma shorter than mesosoma (14:15), hardly 0.9 times as wide as this. Tl and base of T2 entirely covered by whitish pubescence; Tl hardly as long as wide; T2 without basal foveae, smooth; T3-T7 combined about 0.25 times as long as T2, almost smooth, with a few hairs. Female — Unknown. Holotype — Male: Honduras, Cortés, Parque Nacional Cusuco, 5 km N Buenos Aires (1529'N 8813'W), 15.IX.1995., Malaise trap in oak/pine cloud forest. R. Cave leg. Preserved at the Institute of Zoology, Lund, Sweden. In the unusual structure of propodeum the new species is similar to L. mitratus Huggert, 1976 from Zaire, but mitratus has vertex much elevated, notauli absent, and scutellar spine shorter, cf. also Huggert (1976). Leptacis yoroensis sp. n. (Figs 18-21) Female •— Length: 1.0 mm. Colour light reddish brown; antennae and legs yellowish, A8-A10 dark brownish. Head from above (Fig. 18) 1.6 times as wide as long, 1.1 times as wide as thorax, weakly reticulate, frons almost smooth; occiput without carina, slightly angled; lateral ocelli separated from eye by hardly half their diameter; OOL:POL:LOL = 1:11:5. Head from front 1.1 times as wide as high. Antenna (Fig. 19) with Al hardly shorter than height of head (19:20). Mesosoma 1.7 times as long as wide, 1.2 times as high as wide. Sides of pronotum hardly sculptured. Mesoscutum faintly irregularly coriaceous in anterior half, rest almost smooth; notauli faintly indicated posteriorly, replaced by two lines of hairs; mid lobe posteriorly slightly prolonged, blunt apically; scuto-scutellar grooves with distinct hairs. Mesopleura smooth. Scutellum (Fig. 20) with disc somewhat darkened, almost with a longitudinal keel medially, rather densely and uniformly hairy; spine not reaching end of propodeum, semitransparent, hardly with lamella below. Metapleura smooth and bare except along upper and hind margins. Propodeal carinae rather low and fused, hardly semitransparent. Fore wing as long as body, 3.2 times as long as wide, with brownish tint, a darkened band from about one-third to half of wing, and rather dense hairs on disc except extreme base; marginal cilia one-third width of wing. Hind wing about 10 times as long as wide; marginal cilia 1.1 width of wing.
