Mesosoma 1.6 times as long as wide, very slightly higher than wide. Sides of pronotum finely reticulate-coriaceous except along margins. Mesoscutum finely and evenly reticulate-coriaceous, with sparse hairs, without notauli, medially distinctly prolonged to base of scutellum; scuto-scutellar grooves covered by dense golden hairs. Mesopleura smooth. Scutellum (Fig. 6) sculptured as mesoscutum, bare medially, rather densely hairy laterally; spine just reaching end of propodeum, dark, without lamella. Metapleura smooth, with pale pilosity posteriorly. Propodeal carinae high and dark, straight and fused. Fore wing as long as body, 2.6 times as long as wide, with dense hairs, with distinct brownish tint except in basal 0.3; marginal cilia (along hind margin) hardly 0.1 width of wing. Hind wing 5.5 times as long as wide; marginal cilia one-third the width of wing. Metasoma as long as mesosoma, hardly 0.9 times as wide as latter, 1.8 times as long as wide. Tl wider than long (7:6), almost smooth, with a couple of grooves medially, rather densely covered with faintly golden hairs except medially. T2 smooth except for reticulation along hind margin, hardly with basal foveae but but with a few hairs where they should have been. T3-T7 combined slightly more than 0.4 times as long as T2, smooth, reticulate posteriorly, with a few superficially implanted fine hairs. Female — Unknown. Holotype — Male: Costa Rica, Heredia, Porrosati, 2000 m, 2.III. 1997., C. Hansson leg. Preserved at the Institute of Zoology, Lund, Sweden. It runs to L. erythropus Ashmead, 1896 in Kieffer's (1926) key, but erythropus is only 0.8 mm long with 5-segmented antennái club and clear wings, cf. Kieffer (1926). Leptacis laevipetiolata sp. n. (Figs 7-11) Female — Length: 1.4-1.5 mm. Colour black; antennae and legs reddish yellow, flagellum brownish. Head from above (Fig. 7) 1.6 times as wide as long, wider than thorax (7:6), finely transversely reticulate-coriaceous; occiput evenly rounded. Lateral ocelli separated from eye by 3 times their diameter; OOL:POL:LOL - 6:10:5. Head from front wider than high (7:6). Antenna (Fig. 8) with Al shorter than height of head (21:24). Mesosoma 1.7 times as long as wide; higher than wide (13:12). Sides of pronotum finely reticulate-coriaceous in upper half, smooth in lower half. Mesoscutum uniformly reticulate-coriaceous, with sparse hairs, notauli absent; hind margin prolonged medially, laterally with numerous hairs covering scuto-scutellar grooves. Mesopleura smooth. Scutellum (Fig. 9) at level of mesoscutum, smooth and bare medially, laterally with dense whitish hairs; spine short, "massive", with a narrow semitransparent lamella below. Metapleura smooth, with pilosity in posterior half. Propodeal carinae low, dark, well separated, hardly diverging, area in between smooth and shiny. Fore wing hardly as long as body (57:59), almost clear, 3.0 times as long as wide, rather densely and evenly hairy; marginal cilia 0.15 width of wing. Hind wing 7.7 times as long as wide; marginal cilia half the width of wing. Metasoma (Fig. 10) very sligthtly longer than head and mesosoma combined, as wide as head. Tl smooth, 1.5 times as wide as long, with long white hairs along sides. T2 smooth, with two small hairy basal foveae. T3-T5 hardly sculptured, T4-T5 each with a transverse row of moderately deeply implanted hairs. T6 reticulate with scattered hairs. Male — Length: 1.4 mm. Antenna (Fig. 11). Holotype — Female: Sweden, VS, Kärrbo s:n, Solbacken, RN 1552/6600,
