Remarks — This species belongs in the alliance of Histiostoma hungaricum Mahunka, 1976. This group of species is well characterizable by the long, striking dorsal setae and the shape of ap y The group comprises: Histiostoma hungaricum Mahunka, 1976; Histiostoma lineatulum Mahunka, 1976; Histiostoma cubanum Mahunka, 1978; Histiostoma lineosculpturatum Mahunka, 1978 and Histiostoma magdolnae Mahunka et Eraky, 1987. The new species differs from all other congeners within this group by the shape of ap i and ap.sej., the shape of propodosoma and the chaetotaxy of legs, especially legs I and II.
