markings strongly pupilated with black; (4) Male genitalia, in lateral view showing uncus, pointed (rounded in chilensis) and sagum with relatively straight sclerotized anal margin oriented parallel with anal edge of valvae (chilensis with sagum sclerotized anally parallel with the valve's costal edge) (cf. Figs 7-8). Description — Male. Fore wing length (base to apex): 10.5 mm (holotype). Dorsal fore wing and dorsal hind wing ground gleaming bronze brown showing greenish reflection; both wings with pale brownish white dashes along somewhat darker submargin. Fringes white. Ventral fore wing basal and medial area pale yellow, marginally tan, discoidal spot roundish and indistinct, postmedial area with a band of dark brown blotches or lunules paralleled by lighter marginal chevrons. Ventral hind wing ground pearlly white with indistinct very light brown median spots in each cell. Basal and submedial pattern indistinct. Postmedial area lighter with submarginal white chevrons and light brown marginal markings in each cell. Genitalia with uncus, in lateral view, pointed (horseshoe-shaped in dorsal view), aedeagus shorter than valva with sagum, in lateral view, heavily sclerotized anally parallel with valve's anal edge; valva commonplace polyommatine with costa slightly convex and anal edges straight. Female unknown. Type locality — 3500 m, Coraya, Dept. Humhuaca, Prov. Jujuy, Argentina (Fig. 9). Bionomics — Spatial: currently known only from Jujuy Province of NW Argentina from relatively high elevation (3500 m). Temporal: currently known only form the middle of December. Etymology — A noun, gender feminine, used to signify the type locality. Figs 3-6.
