Remarks — The new species is close to Histiostoma scindita Mahunka, 1978 (Figs, 22-28) and may be distinguished from it by the following characters: H. scindita Mahunka, 1978 1. Dorsosejugal region missing, only dorsosejugal suture present. 2. ap2 and sejugal apodemes clearly separated. 3. Disks D an Ds of adhering plate well developed. 4. Claw of leg I minute. H. manuri sp. n. 1. Dorsosejugal region present, ornamei ted with lineolae. 2. a/?3 and sejugal apodemes undifferei tiated. 3. Disks D of adhering plate well dev< loped, Ds disks less developed. 4. Claw of leg I of normal size. Derivatio nominis — This is a cosmopolitan species in manure of animals.
