S. Mahunka szerk.: Folia Entomologica Hungarica 60. (Budapest, 1999)

Material examined — Holotype: Nest of termite inside the camphor tree, Botanical Island, Aswan. Leg. S. A. Eraky. 8.06.1998. Ten paratypes from the same sample. Holotype and 8 paratypes deposited in Plant Protection Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Assiut University, Egypt. Two paratypes deposited in the Arachnoidea col­lection of the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest, Hungary. Remarks — The course of apodemes well characterize the new species, yet it comes close to Histiostoma continuata Mahunka, 1978. But differs from it by having short ap. sa on anterior sternal plate, and having rough sculpture on dorsosejugal region, and differs from other related congeners (i.e., Histiostoma angolensis Mahunka, 1963 and Histio­stoma loksai Mahunka, 1961) by the shape and chaetotaxy of the legs and the shape of gnathosoma and dorsal setae.
