bit longer (2 Fig. 69) or clearly shorter (d Fig. 62) than temple. Antenna usually with 24-25 antennomeres. Hind margin of third tergite either clearly (2 Fig. 70) or weakly (d Fig. 67) excised. Tegula dark brown (or reddish yellow: male lectotype), legs reddish yellow, hind coxa brownish basally. 2d: 3.2-4 mm T. sulcatus (Szépligeti) 2 (1) Tergites 1-2 striate, carapace oval to globose (Figs 74, 84). Pterostigma issuing r from its middle or just distally from its middle, pterostigma itself (2. l-)2. 2-2.4 times as long as wide (Fig. 73). Eye in dorsal view shorter than temple (Fig. 72). Antenna usually with 21-23 antennomeres. Hind margin of third tergite either more or less excised (9: Figs 76, 80) or rounded (d: Figs 77, 81) 3 (4) Lower margin of clypeus faintly biconcave, i.e. medially faintly pointed (Fig. 78, see arrow). Second tergite usually somewhat more transverse, i.e. 1.9-2.2 times (2) and 1.8-1.9 times (d) as wide behind as long medially, second suture usually somewhat more arcuate, striation of carapace relatively less strong (Fig. 74). Hind margin of third tergite faintly excised (2 Fig. 76) or rounded (d Fig. 77). Ovipositor sheath somewhat shorter than carapace, exceptionally as long as carapace. Middle and hind femora more or less brownish to brown, fore femur basally brownish, coxae blackish to back; exceptionally legs reddish yellow and coxae + hind femur brownish. 2d: 1.6-2.5(-2.8) mm T. obscurellus (Nees) 4 (3) Lower margin of clypeus biconcave (Fig. 82, see arrow) or laterally faintly concave and medially truncate (Fig. 83, see arrow). Second tergite usually somewhat less transverse, i.e. 1.75-1.8 times (2) and 1.6-1.7 times (d) as wide behind as long medially, second suture usually somewhat less arcuate, Striation of carapace relatively strong (Fig. 84). Hind margin of third tergite excised (2 Fig. 80) or rounded (d Fig. 81). Ovipositor sheath somewhat longer than carapace. Legs reddish yellow, hind coxa basally brownish. 2d: (1.8-)2.5-3 mm (= Sigalphus similis Szépligeti, 1901) T. pallipes (Nees) Taxonomic remark — In my paper of the Triaspis species of Hungary there is a striking contradiction (Papp 1998a: 172-173): in the paragraph of T. pallipes (p. 172) I placed Sigalphus similis Szépligeti in synonymy with T. pallipes, on the one hand and in the subsequent third paragraph (p. 172) I revalidated the name T. similis (Szépligeti) ("sp. rev."), on the other. Unfortunately, the latter paragraph was not canceled both in my manuscript and in the printer's proof after the modification of my taxonomic interpretation of the name Sigalphus similis. To be clear and unambiguous in this respect: Sigalphus similis Szépligeti, 1901 is an objective junior synonym of T. pallipes (Nees, 1816).
