(and as broad as flagellomeres 1-9). - Head in dorsal view (Fig. 4) less transverse, 1.65 times as boad as long, eye somewhat longer than temple, latter rounded, occiput faintly excavated. Ocelli elliptic, relatively great and OOL somewhat longer than POL. Clypeus twice as wide as high medially, its lower margin faintly convex (Fig. 5). Eye in lateral view 1.4 times as high as wide, beyond eye temple evenly wide and somewhat less wide than eye. Head polished. Mesosoma in lateral view 1.4 times as long as high. Notaulix evenly deep and finely crenulate, precoxal suture long (extending from anterior to posterior margins of mesopoleuron), S-like and crenulate. Propodeum rugose, horizontal or upper part of propodeum smooth and shiny, postero-medially with an areola. - Hind femur 4.5 times as long as broad and parallel-sided (Fig. 6). Hind tarsal claw as in Fig. 7. Fore wing as long as body. Pterostigma (Fig. 12) three times as long as wide and issuing r distally from its middle, r just longer than half width of pterostigma, 1-R1 somewhat shorter than and 2-R1 half as long as pterostigma, 2-R1 reaching tip of wing. Carapace in dorsal view (Fig. 13) 1.6 times as long as broad behind, i.e. at base of third tergite. Pair of basal keels extending three-fourths of first tergite. First and second sutures distinct. Tergites 1 and 3 equal in length, tergite 2 somewhat longer than tergite 3 and its hind margin rounded. Tergites 1-2 striate (Fig. 13), tergite 3 striolate. Body black; face, clypeus, cheek and frons laterally yellow, face medially and laterobasally with brownish tint. Scape and pedicel yellow, flagellum brown to dark brown. Tegula and legs pale yellow, hind tibia apically and entire hind tarsus brownish. Wings hyaline, pterostigma light brown, veins opaque brownish. Male and host unknown. Distribution: Italy. The new species, Triaspis flavofacies sp. n., is nearest to T. striatulus (Nees, 1816) (Europe) by their long ovipositor apparatus and sculptured third tergite, the two species are differentiated by the features keyed below: 1 (2) Head in dorsal view (Fig. 4) less transverse, 1.65 times as broad as long; ocelli relatively great and OOL somewhat longer than POL. Pterostigma (Fig. 12) three times as long as wide and issuing r distally from its middle, 1-R1 somewhat shorter than length of pterostigma. Striation of carapace parallel and with less anastomoses (Fig. 13). Face, scape + pedicel and legs yellow. 9: 2.8 mm T. flavofacies sp. n. 2 (1) Head in dorsal view (Fig. 9) transverse, 1.85 times as broad as long; ocelli relatively small and OOL as long as POL. Pterostigma (Fig. 10) 2.5 times as long as wide and issuing r from its middle, 1-R1 as long as length of pterostigma. Striation of carapace less parallel and with anastomoses (Fig. 11). Face, scape + pedicel black, legs reddish yellow. 2: (2-)3-3.5 mm T. striatulus (Nees) Triaspis hispanicus sp. n. d (Figs 14-19, 23) Material examined (Id) — Male holotype: Spain, Catalunya, Cardo, host's foodplant Clematis vitaiba, 14 April 1965, leg. ? - Holotype is deposited in the Hungarian Natural History Museum (Department of Zoology), Budapest, Hym. Typ. No. 7873. Etymology — The species name "hispanicus" refers to the country where the type locality is.
