Redescription of the female lectotype of Bracon fumatus — Body 3.2 mm long. Antenna as long as head, mesosoma and tergites 1-3 combined and with 26 antennomeres. First flagellomere 2.3 times, further flagellomeres indistinctly attenuating so that penultimate flagellomere 1.65 times as long as broad. - Head in dorsal view (Fig. 26) subcubic, 1.66 times as broad as long, eye one-fourth shorter than temple, latter rounded, occiput feebly excavated. Ocelli almost round and far from each other, OOL 1.7 times as long as POL. Eye in lateral view (Fig. 27) 1.6 times as high as wide and 1.2 times as wide as temple, latter evenly wide beyond eye. First discal cell less high (Fig. 30), 1-2CU(1) minutely longer than 7-Mand 1-M twice as long as m-cu. - Hind wing: subbasal cell short and wide, cu-a faintly convex (Fig. 31). Metasoma somewhat shorter than head and mesosoma combined. First tergite (Fig. 32) 1.25 times as long as broad behind, pair of spiracles before middle of tergite and beyond spiracles tergite parallel-sided, rim of tergite laterally from scutum narrow, scutum fairly well bulging, otherwise tergite smooth and shiny. Second tergite transverse, 2.8 times as wide behind as long medially; suture between tergites 2-3 bisinuate and third tergite as long as second tergite. Second tergite antero-medially rugulose-uneven, otherwise together with further tergites smooth and shiny. Ovipositor sheath straight and long, as long as body. Ground colour of body reddish yellow. Antenna black. Ocellar field and pair of streaks on frons black. Oral organs and mandible apically brown.
