Klapperich. - One female paratype: Iraq, prov. Salahudin, Arbil, 28 May 1979, leg. M. S. Abdul-Rassoul. Holotype and paratype are deposited in the Hungarian Natural History Museum (Department of Zoology), Budapest, Hym. Typ. Nos 7870 (holotype) and 7871 (paratype). Etymology — The species name "dilatus" refers to the wide first tergite. Descriptions of the female holotype — Body strong and 5 mm long. Antenna short, as long as head, mesosoma and tergites 1-3 combined and with 26 antenomeres. Flagellum indistinctly attenuating, first flagellomere just twice as long as broad, further flagellomeres gradually shortening so that penultimate flagellomere 1.4 times as long as broad. - Head in dorsal view (Fig. 1) transverse, 1.7 times as broad as long, eye onefourth longer than temple, temple rounded, occiput less excavated. Ocelli small and elliptic, POL distinctly half as long as OOL. Eye in lateral view 1.7 times as high as wide and a bit wider than temple (Fig. 2). Horizontal width of oral cavity one-fourth wider than shortest distance between margin of cavity and eye. Malar space just longer than basal width of mandible. Head smooth and shiny. Mesosoma in lateral view stout, 1.2 times as long as high. Notaulix indistinct. Prescutellar furrow linearform narrow and with very fine crenulation. Mesosoma smooth and shiny. - Hind femur (Fig. 3) 3.3 times as long as broad medially. Hind tarsomeres strong, in lateral view hind basitarsus four times as long as broad apically (Fig. 4). Fore wing somewhat shorter than body. Pterostigma (Fig. 5) 2.6 times as long as wide, issuing radial vein (r) somewhat distally from its middle. Marginal cell long, approaching tip of wing, marginal cell along metacarp (1-R1) clearly 1.5 times as long as pterostigma. Vein r shorter than width of pterostigma; submarginal cell long, 3-SR almost twice as long as 2-SR, 4-SR 1.5 times as long as 3-SR. First discal cell long, 1M 1.2-1.28 times as long as 1-2CU(1) (Fig. 6). - Hind wing: cu-a faintly bent (Fig. 7). Metasoma about as long as head + mesosoma combined. First tergite (Fig. 8) slightly longer medially than wide behind, beyond pair of spiracles side of tergite parallel. Second tergite (Fig. 8) conspicuously transverse, four times wider behind than long medially. Suture between tergites 2-3 straight, medially distinct, laterally narrowing, smooth. Second tergite as long as third tergite, tergites smooth and shiny. Hypopygium in lateral view pointed (Fig. 9). Ovipositor sheath long, about 1.5 times as long as body. Scape and pedicel reddish yellow, flagellum black. Head and metasoma reddish yellow, ocellar field black. Mesosoma black, line of notaulix and pronotum reddish yellow. Tegula reddish yellow. Ground colour of fore leg reddish yellow, that of middle and hind legs black; fore femur below black, femora 2-3 apically and tibiae 2-3 basally reddish yellow, tarsi 1-2 reddish yellow, telotarsi 1-2 black, hind tarsus blackish. Wings brownish fumous, pterostigma dark brown, veins opaque brown. Description of the female paratype (12) — Similar to the female holotype. Body 5 mm long. Antenna with 25 antennomeres. Hind femur 3.1 times as long as broad medially. Second submarginal cell slightly less long, 3-SR 1.7 times as long as 2-SR. Second tergite entirely and third tergite basally with longitudinal strio-rugulosity. Tergites 4-6 nearly entirely black to blackish medially. Ovipositor sheath 1.6 times as long as body.
