as deep as its median length. Head and mesopleuron strongly shining with minute punc­tures. Pronotum and propleuron moderately shining with very dense minute punctures. Mesosternum smooth and shining. Head and mesonotum with dense, white pubescence about 2/3 times as long as the diameter of front ocellus. Mesopleuron with dense, white, long pubescence which is about 1/3 x longer than the diameter of front ocellus. Length of cenchrus/distance between the two cenchri : 1.11. Ratios of the tarsal joints: 22 (basitar­sus) : 9 : 8 : 6 : 12. Claw with large inner tooth as long as the apical one. Abdomen shin­ing with shallow coriaceous sculpture. Sawsheath with strongly curved hairs. Its apex widened and emarginated apically (Fig. 1). Length: 8.0 mm. Length of fore wing: 8.0 mm. Holotype — female: "China, Yunan, 24-29. VI. 93, 50 km N. of Lijeng, Yulongshan Nat. Res. E. Jednek, O. Sausa leg.". The holotype is deposited in the Department of Zoology, Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest. Trichiocampus viminalis (Fallén, 1808) is its closest relative but it has black head, mesonotum, pronotum, mesoscutellum, mesoscutellar appendage and postscutellum. Its fore wing is without brownish crossband. Sawsheath blunt and rounded (Fig. 3). Hind basitarsus is about as long as the following 2 tarsal segments. Conaspidia nigroflagellata sp. n. Female — Head and antenna yellowish brown, occipital furrows, spot between the ocelli, and another spot around the antennái grooves, apex of the mandible, 6th-9th anten­nái segments black. Head dilated behind the eyes and strongly narrowed at the temples, shining, densely and shallowly punctured. POL : OOL : OCL = 4.5 : 1.0 : 5.0. 3rd and 4th antennái segments are equal in length. The 6th-9th segments are flattened. Clypeus deeply excised. Clypeal emargination about 2/3 times as deep as its median length. Thorax light brown. Mesonotal lobes with dark brown margin. Prothorax yellowish brown with a large black spot on the propleuron. Cenchri white. Postnotum, postscutellum, metepimeron, metepisternum, mesepimeron and mesepisternum black. Mesosternum dark brown with a black band. Mesonotum, pronotum, propleuron, mesoscutellum shining, densely and shallowly punctured. Mesepisternum roughly punctured with deep, large punctures. Mesosternum shining, moderately punctured with small punctures. Mesoscutellum con­vex. Postscutellum smooth and shining, strongly expanded. Length of cenchrus/distance between the 2 cenchri: 0.75. Head and mesonotum with short whitish pubescence about half as long as the diameter of the front ocellus. Labrum with very long white, curved hairs about 3 x larger than the diameter of the front ocellus. Legs yellow. Hind coxae with lateral black spots. Hind basitarsus elongated, about as long as the next 3 tarsal segments. Ratio of the tarsal segments: 64 (basitarsus) : 26 : 18 : 7 : 12. Claw with well developed inner tooth. Wings hyaline. Venation black, stigma, costa and the final l/5th of the sub­costa yellow. Abdomen yellow, 3rd-7th abdominal segments with 2 dorsolateral black bands. 1st and 2nd abdominal segments smooth and shining, 3rd-9th with dense trans­verse sculpture. 1st and 2nd abdominal segment narrowed. Sawsheath brown, long, nar­row and acute (Fig. 4). Cerci short. Length: 12.0 mm. Length of fore wing: 12.0 mm. Holotype — female. "China, Yunan 24-29. VI. 93, 50 km of Lijeng, Yulongshan Nat. Res., E. Jednek, O. Sausa leg." The holotype is deposited in the Department of Zoology, Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest. Conaspidia nigroflagellata sp. n. is a unique species in the genus Conaspidia. It does not belong to any of the known groups of the genus. The position of the new species among the groups of the genus is keyed below following the key of Wei and Nie (1997).
