Indentification keys for the extra-holartic species On the basis of the number of genital setae the here to fore known oripodida species might be divided into four groups: I. Genital plates with four pairs of setae. ; II. Genital plates with three pairs of setae. III. Genital plates with two pairs of setae. IV. Genital plates with one pair of setae. Group I. Aggenital setae absent. Notogaster with broad protruding humeral appendage covering bothridium and sensillus. L.: 216 jam. (Figs 1-2). - Cuba Pteroripoda minutissima Balogh et Mahunka, 1974 Aggenital setae present. Notogaster without broad, protruding humeral appendage covering bothridium and sensillus. Interlamellar setae fusiform or stick-shaped with blunt tip. Notogaster and prodorsum with rough polygonate structure or irregular tubercles. Notogaster with irregular tubercules. L.: 430 \xm. (Fig. 3). - British Guiana Calobates antichthon Higgins, 1966 Notogaster with rough polygonate structure. Ventral plate with small polygonate structure. Notogastral setae short: setae ti shorter than distance te—ti. L.: 400 \xm. (Figs 4-5). - W. Africa Calobates ornatissimus (Balogh, 1959) Ventral plate tuberculate, two similar species. Interlamellar setae stick-shaped with scattered ciliae. L.: 396 urn. (Figs 6-7). Kenya Calobates ornatus (Mahunka, 1986) Interlamellar setae fusiform with dense ciliae. L.: 436-471 \im. (Figs 8-9). Mauritius Calobates tuberculatus (Mahunka, 1983) Interlamellar setae setiform with pointed tip. Notogastral setae absent, represented only by alveoli. L.: 370 ^m. (Fig. 10). Somalia Protoripoda incurva (Berlese, 1916) Notogastral setae present. Setae adanales ad v ad 2 and ad 3 extremely long, flagellate. L.: 353 ^m. (Figs 11-12). - Ceylon Protoripoda insularis Balogh, 1970 Setae adanales not flagellate. Epimeral region with dense longitudinal lines. L.: 366-475 urn. (Figs 13-14). Mauritius Protoripoda lineata Mahunka, 1988 16 (15) Epimeral region without longitudinal lines. L.: 421 jxm. (Figs 15-16). Ceylon Protoripoda woolleyi Balogh, 1970 Group II. 1 (2) Body elongate: almost twice longer than wide. Head of sensillus elongately ovate, twice as long as wide. Epimeral setae lb flagellate, about five times longer than setae la. L.: 400-453 (am. (Figs 17-18). - Vietnam Truncopes orientális Mahunka, 1987
