S. Mahunka szerk.: Folia Entomologica Hungarica 59. (Budapest, 1998)

Bogárzó. 1 9: Kiskunhalas, Sóstó, taken from Euphorbia sp. 4 9: Őrszentmiklós (Őrbottyán). 1 9: Siófok. 1 9: Siófok, Balatonszéplak, Töreki-láp. II/l: 1 9: Budapest, Svábhegy. 1 9: Pilismarót. III/4-5 (Transylvania): 1 9: Magyarbagó (-Bägäu). 1 9: Rév (=Vadul Crisului). - VI-IX, frequent in June-July. Schizoprymnus crassiceps (Thomson, 1892) - A rare species albeit its area covers the western Palaearctic Region. Reported from Mongolia. In Hungary first listed from Zebegény (Győrfi 1941: 91, the specimen(s) is(are) not in the Budapest Museum). Localities: 7/7: 1 6: Ócsa. II/l: 1 9: Várpalota, Pétfurdő, taken from Chaerophyllum bulbosum. II/2: 1 6: Bükkzsérc, Hór-völgy (-valley), Kis-rét (-meadow). - VI. Schizoprymnus cylindricus (Snoflák, 1953) - Since its description (Snoflák 1953: 328) known only from Bohemia (Moravia). New to the fauna of Hungary. - Localities: I/l: 1 9: Csévharaszt, nature reserved forest. VI/2: 1 6 (in Papp 1992: 51 as S. angustatus Herrich-Schaeffer): Darány, Juniper Woodland. - V and VII. Schizoprymnus distorquatus Papp, 1981 - Known only from Hungary on the basis of its holotype specimen. - Locality: 1 9 (holotype): Nagyiván (Hortobágy National Park). - VI. Schizoprymnus edentulus (Szépligeti, 1901) (1-Triaspis emarginatus Snoflák, 1953) - The original description of Triaspis (Schizoprymnus) emarginatus (Snoflák, 1953: 331) matches well the type-series of S. edentulus, the synonymy is supposed. With the help of Tobias's (1986: 172-180) key the type specimens of S. edentulus run to S. emarginatus. S. edentulus is known only from Hungary, 5. emarginatus from Bohemia and the former USSR (Tobias 1986: 180) so far. - Localities: 11/2: 1 9: Budakeszi. 1 9 (lectotype) + 1 9 (paralectotype, in Budapest Museum Hym. Typ. Nos 579 and 582): Budapest, Svábhegy, 10 June 1900, leg. Szépligeti. 2 9 (paralectotypes, in Budapest Museum Hym. Typ. Nos 580-581): Budapest, Svábhegy, 17 July 1899, leg. Szépligeti. 1 9: Csobánka, swept in Mahabeleto-Quercetum. 1 9: Úrkút. II/2: 1 9: Tard. - V-VIII. Schizoprymnus elongatus (Szépligeti, 1898) - Besides the female lectotype the male forms described by Szépligeti (1898: 383 and 397) as var.(?)l. and var.(?)2. are not deposited in the Budapest Museum. Of the two varieties Szépligeti (I.e.) remarked that supposedly they represent two valid species. Eastwards from Hungary widely distributed in the former USSR (Tobias 1986: 174). - Localities: 7/7: 3 ó: Inárcs. 1 9 (lectotype, in Budapest Museum Hym. Typ. No. 577): Szeged. II/l: 1 6: Budakeszi. 2 ó: Sárszentmihály. 1 9: Tatabánya, reared from stem of Artemisia sp. V/3: 1 9: Csörötnek, Huszászi. - V-VI and VIII. Schizoprymnus eurygaster (Snoflák, 1953) - Described from Bohemia (Snoflák 1953: 331), Hungary is the second country which listed its occurrence. I/l: 1 6: Doboz (Gyula): Szanazug. - V. Schizoprymnus fumatus (Herrich-Schaeffer, 1838) - Tobias (1986) did not include this species in his key; my identification is based on the key presented by Snoflák (1953) and on the original description + figure by Herrich-Schaeffer (1838: 153. 22a). Hitherto known from two countries: Germany and Hungary. New to the fauna of Hungary. Localities: 1/1: 1 9 (in Papp 1991: 644 as S. globosus Szépligeti): Bátorliget. 1 6: Szolnok, Tisza-part (-bank). - VI. Schizoprymnus hilaris (Herrich-Schaeffer, 1838) - A rare species though widely distributed in Europe (Shenefelt 1970: 277), its area extends eastwards as far as Central Asia in the former USSR (Tobias 1986: 180). - Localités: 11/2: 1 9: Aggtelek, Vörös-tó. VI/1: 1 E: Nagyharsány, Szársomlyó. - VI-VII.
