ington and Budapest); Nebraska: Nerepis, 1 6 (Budapest); Beulak, 1 9 (Washington); Michigan: Douglas Lake, 1 6 (Washington); Genesee (Dreisbach), 1 9 (Washington); Florida: Jacksonville, 1 c? (Budapest). The collection dates were in July, only one in June and one in August. The "americanus Aaron in litt." by French is identical with Cleptes speciosus not only in sculpture and in colours but also in genitalia of the specimen from Jacksonville. Addition to description. Lateral margin of propodeum slightly divergent (6). Male genitalia (Fig. 7): cuspis short, apex pointed, inner margin with fine hairs; digitus elongate, hyaline and rounded apically; aedeagus hardly discernible, with a hyaline tip. Distribution: USA, South Canada (Kimsey and Bohart 1991). Cleptes nitidulus group I follow the Kimsey and Bohart's (1991) scheme with a few exceptions of some species, which are transferred to the undermentioned new species group. Also the key of the transferred species may be found, as before, in the previous key (Móczár 1997a) in order to avoid unnecessary repetition. Cleptes blaisdelli Bridwell, 1919 Cleptes Blaisdelli Bridwell, 1919: 37 (1 6). Holotype, 6: California Poway (Washington). Cleptes blaisdelli: Kimsey, 1981: 812 (26), Figs 2, 8, 23; Móczár 1997a: 31(2 6). Specimens examined: 4 9,3 6. USA: Oregon, 1 9 (det. Bohart); California: Coquillet, 1 6, Santa Barbara, 1 <? (det. Kimsey), and Tulare, 3 9,1c? (more detail in I.e.). The colour and the sculpture are not uniform. The species was placed twice in the previous key. First, with abdomen brown becoming lighter on all tergites basally Oregon (9) (det. Bohart) or all apical tergites narrowly (3 9); secondly, abdominal segments I-III(IV) reddish yellowish brown Sta. Barbara (6) (det. Kimsey), Coquillet (6) and Kimsey (1981). More significant differences are between the females: concerning the remarkably more finely punctured (Fig. 9) 3 9 from Tulare, than 1 S from Oregon (det. Bohart). There are certain similarities between the proportions as follows. Locality MS : MOD Ped F-I F-II F-III Tulare (9) 1.2 2.3 2.2 1.2 0.8 Oregon ( 9 ) 1.6 2.2 1.9 1.1 0.9 Kimsey (1981) (9) 2.0 2<2 Sta.
