S. Mahunka szerk.: Folia Entomologica Hungarica 58. (Budapest, 1997)

Synacra incompleta sp. n. (Figs 15-16) Female. Length: 2.6 mm. Colour black; antenna, mandibles, legs and metasoma dark brown, tibiae and tarsi lighter. Head from in front (Fig. 15) with mandibles forming a distinct beak; malar space 1.5 times the height of an eye; eyes bare. Antenna (Fig. 16) with Al as long as A2-A3 combined, Al apically with prominent angular projections; A2 2.4, A3 4.0, A4 1.8 times as long as wide, Al 1 very slightly as long as wide. Notau­lices distinct but fine, missing in posterior one-fifth. Medial keel of propodeum about 1.5 times as long as that of postscutellum. Fore wing slightly reaching over apex of gas­ter; basalis distinct; marginális slightly as long as its distance from basalis; stigmalis and radialis very short. Petiole transverse (length : width ratio about 13 : 16), metasoma be­hind petiole 2.1 times as long as wide. Holotype female: Norway (EIS 97), NTI, Mosvik, Kilen 14. VIII-7. IX. 1994, Mal­aise trap (NINA leg.). Caught at station 17 in the area with coarse grained fragmentation, cf. Tommerâs and Breistein (1995). Synacra incompleta seems to be most similar to 5*. brachialis (Nées) sensu Hellén (1964), but this species has complete notaulices and A2 1.5, A4 2.5 times as long as wide.
