March 12, 1993. The material is deposited in the collection of the Hungarian Natural History Museum (Prep. Nos 4030, 4032). Amblyseius phragmitidis sp. n. (Fig. 2) Female: The dorsal shield is oviform, bilaterally with small dwindlings. Length: 350 pm, breadth: 220 pm. Its surface is slightly sclerotised and ornamented with striae. Five pairs of solenostomes are on the margin of the dorsal shield, the 1 st—4th pairs are minute, the 5th is larger. The nine pairs of lateral setae are setiform, setae Li-L« are of medium length (30 pm) and the same in their length, seta L? is long (70 pm). The dorsocentral and mediolateral setae are small (20 pm). The peritreme reaches seta Li. The opisthogastral shield is triangular, its surface is slightly sclerotised and ornamented with Fig. 2.
