It is very effective against the common two-spotted spider mite (Tetranychus urticae Koch). DESCRIPTIONS OF THE NEW SPECIES Typhlodromus hungaricus sp. n. (Fig. 1) Female: The dorsal shield is rectangular with rounded corners, without dwindling. Length: 350 pm, breadth: 200 pm. The surface of the dorsal shield is moderately sclerotised and ornamented with striae. The solenostomes are very small and indistinct except for the last one. The ten pairs of lateral setae are setiform, setae L|-L 7 are short (25 pm), Folia ent. hung. 58, 1997
