It is very effective against the common two-spotted spider mite (Tetranychus urticae Koch). DESCRIPTIONS OF THE NEW SPECIES Typhlodromus hungaricus sp. n. (Fig. 1) Female: The dorsal shield is rectangular with rounded corners, without dwindling. Length: 350 pm, breadth: 200 pm. The surface of the dorsal shield is moderately sclero­tised and ornamented with striae. The solenostomes are very small and indistinct except for the last one. The ten pairs of lateral setae are setiform, setae L|-L 7 are short (25 pm), Folia ent. hung. 58, 1997
