vesica is longer, narrower, the walls of the distal part of vesica are less scobinate but the main cornuti field is longer. The best distinctive feature is the size and position of the subterminal diverticulum of the vesica which is significantly smaller in the new species, directed ventro-laterally ("inwards") on the recurved distal part of the tube (Fig. 2). This diverticulum is much larger in the case of R. ferruginea, directed medio-dorsally ("upwards", "erected") (see Fig. 4). In the female genitalia (Fig. 5) the ductus bursae of the new species is somewhat shorter, its proximal half characteristically broadened while the margins of the ductus are almost parallel in R. ferruginea (Fig. 6). Description: Its external appearance is very similar to the R. ferruginea, the main specific features are discussed in the Diagnosis. The wingspan is 32-34 mm, length of fore wing is 8-9 mm. Male genitalia (Figs 1-2): uncus long, weak, tegumen narrow, relatively high, fultura inferior a more or less rounded, rather weak plate, vinculum V-shaped. Valva long, its margins more or less parallel, costal bar strongly sclerotized, cucullus narrow, pointed, slightly bifurcated below apex, corona absent. Sacculus broad, long, clavus a large, granulose-setose field. Harpe wide-based, its erected part long, straight, spine-like, basal part with a flattened, apically finely rounded extension. Aedeagus long, cylindrical, slightly bent, carina with two relatively short, weakly sclerotized bars. Vesica tubular, reverted forward and recurved dorsally. Basal third membranous, medial and distal thirds more or less strongly scobinate, bearing a long, broad zone covered with short, spiniform cornuti. Subterminal diverticulum relatively small, semiglobular, covered with spines, terminal diverticulum very small, granulöse. Female genitalia (Fig. 5): ovipositor short, weak, gonapophyses rather short. Ostium bursae trapezoidal, sclerotized, ductus bursae long, flattened, sclerotized, its proximal part dilated. Cervix bursae conical, large, membranous with long, more or less sclerotized longitudinal crests running toward to corpus bursae. Corpus bursae ellipticalsacculiform, bearing two small, rounded signa. Distribution: The new species is recorded from the north-eastern parts of Turkey and some places of the main chain of the Caucasus, appearing as an allopatric sibling species of R. ferruginea. The area of R. ferrosqualida is most probably larger, it may occur in some parts of north and north-east Iran and north-west Afghanistan. Rusina ferruginea (Esper, 1785) (Figs 6, 11-12) Examined material: males and females from various parts of Europe: France, Italy, Austria, Germany, Hungary, Ukraine (1 male, Crimea, Karadagh, 05. 1994. leg. Budashkin), Western Siberia ( 1 male, Novosibirsk, Akademgorodok, 07. 1980, leg. V. Dubatolov) and Dauria (1 male, Nizhniy Chasuchei, valley of river Onon, 12. 06. 1990., leg. Golovushkin).
