rochelonus was extended to the form of carapace in lateral view and, furthermore, the differentation of the two genera, Chelonus and Microchelonus, was acccomplished with compilation of a key for them. Tobias (I.e.) created three (one new) subgenera for the genus Microchelonus: Microchelonus s. str., Parachelonus Tobias and Stylochelonus Hellén on the basis of the number of the female antennomeres, presence or absence of the apical aperture on the male carapace, the form of the prothorax and mesosoma, presence or absence of the denticule apically on the female carapace.
