THE ANNOTATED LIST OF THE NOCTUIDAE MATERIAL (compiled by L. Ronkay) The overwhelming majority of the specimens has already identified, only a small part of the specimens should be checked by their genitalia (as the specimens of Leucania 'insecuta', Conistra albipuncta (?filipjevi), Lygephila 'recta' and the single Hypena specimen). Three species (Meganephria extensa, Lithophane ustulata and Dryobotodes pryeri) require further taxonomic analysis. The results of these studies, together with some further new faunistic data from Korea, are planned to publish in a separate paper. The species marked with asterisks (*) are recorded for the first time from Korea. NOCTUINAE Agrotis ipsilon (Hufnagel, 1766) Hermonassa cecilia Butler, 1878 - A short series of aestivated specimens was collected in the southern parts of the peninsula and in the higher elevations of the island Cheju. Surprisingly, no specimens of H. arenosa were found although this latter Hermonassa species was only observed in August, 1992 in the same sites. Diarsia deparca (Butler, 1879) - The species was exclusively found in the island Cheju where it was relatively frequent in the mountain forest zones. D. canescens (Butler, 1878)
