authors. As a consequence of the new system five species are listed in the Hungarian fauna which belongs to one genus. HOMOLOBUS Foerster, 1862 The genus comprises 5 species in Hungary dividing in five subgenera corresponding to the Homolobus subgeneric system constructed by Van Achterberg (1979); in the Palaearctic Region 18 and in Europe 6 species are distributed. The sixth European species, H. flagitator Curtis, is expected to turn up in Hungary. One species is new to the fauna of Hungary. Homolobus (Phylacter) annulicornis (Nees, 1834) - Frequent to common in the Palaearctic Region as well as in Hungary. A true "ophionoid species" (cf. Huddleston & Gauld 1988). It has eight lepidopterous hosts, however, in Hungary none has been ascertained. Homolobus (Homolobus) discolor (Wesmael, 1835) - Widely distributed and rather frequent in the northern half of Europe (except the European part of the late USSR), however, in Hungary rare, known only from two localities, the further three localities fall in Slovakia and Transylvania (Romania). Győrfi (1941: 143) reported it from Sopron (V/2).
