Hungaromotrichus baloghi sp.n. Measurements. - Length of body: 379-408 um, width of body: 233-262 um. No essential difference between males and females. Prodorsum: Rostrum (Fig. 3) with four large teeth medially, two large incisions and ten smaller teeth on each side laterally. Lamellae absent, prodorsal setae arising on the surface, but at their basis a weak lath observable in lateral view. Lamellar setae slightly longer than interlamellar ones, but much longer than rostral ones. Exobothridial setae minute, located immediately next to bothridium, smooth, all other prodorsal setae well pilose (Fig. 10). Sensillus typical for this family, setiform but pectinately ciliate, directed outwards and backwards. Some cilia also present on the distal part of the sensillus in opposite position. Notogaster: Dorsosejugal suture interrupted medially between the bothirida directed sharply rising forwards (Fig. 1). Setae c2 cylindrical, slightly dilated medially, characteristically pilose. The other 9 pairs of notogastral setae short, Fine, smooth, not or only hardly longer than lyrifissure im. Humeral sac and the pear-shaped organ well observable, latter is connected with the sac (?) by a long tube (?). The pear-shaped organ punctate, well framed (Fig. 5). Lyrifissures ih and ips visible only in lateral aspect. Lateral part of podosoma: Pedotecta 1 large, setae Ic arising near to dorsal margin.Pedotecta 2-3 with long custodium, approaching anterior margin of pedotecta 1 (Fig. 5). Gnathosoma: Setae h on mentum longer and thicker than setae on the epimeral region. Seta chb on chelicera dilated distally (Fig. 2), seta cha normal. End of labium well divide (Figs. 7). Ventral regions (Fig. 4): Apodemes weakly developed, epimeral borders mostly not observable. Epimeral surface ornamented by polygonate sculpture. Some of the epimeral setae (la, lc, 2a, 3a) directed characteristically forwards. Setae 4a absent, setae 4c airing on the sharp outer apex of discidium. Four pairs of genital, 1 pair of aggenital, 2 pairs of anal and only two pairs of adanal setae present. Lyrifissure iad in paraanal position. The posterior margin of notogaster showing the characteristically bent median end, it is well observable in ventral aspect. Legs: All legs tridactylous, median claw thicker but shorter than lateral ones. Legs not showing springing function, no dilated or modified setae on legs. Legs setal formulae: I: 1-5-2+1-4+2-20+2-3 (Fig.9) II: 1-5-2+1-4+1-16+2-3 IV: 1-2-2 -3+1-12 -3 (Figs 8, 11) Material examined: Holotype (1447-HO-1993): Romania, Transylvania, Torda, 27.07.1992, leg. Dr. L. Peregovits, 6 ex. paratypes (1447-PO-1993): from the same sample. Holotype and 4 paratypes deposited in the Araehnoidea Collection of the Hungarian Natural History Museum, 1 paratypes in the Museum d'Histoire naturelle, Geneva, 1 paratype in the Collection of R. A. Norton. Siracuse (N. Y., USA). Remarks: Whereas the new genus stands nearest to the genus Ghilarovus Krivolutsky, 1966, it seems advisable to compare the new specie with the species of the latter genus. Unfortunately, some of them were very poorly described and figured. But, beside the generic differences the new species is unambiguously distinguished from all Ghilarovus species by the shape of the rostral incision which is missing in all the other species. The new species is affectionately dedicated to Professor Dr. János Balogh in commemorating his 80th birthday.
