Diptera From the 344 macrofungi taxa we reared approximately 50 000 specimens belonging to 24 Diptera families (Dely-Draskovits 1972). Species of 20 families were identified. From the remaining 4 families species belonging to the Cecidomyiidae, Sciaridae, and Chironomidae family were sent abroad for identification, but were not sent back until today. The identification of Phoridae is being carried out in Great Britain. The Boletophilinae (Plassmann, 1988) and the Fanniinae (Pont 19867a) subfamilies were elevated to family rank (previously belonging to the Mycetophilidae and the Muscidae families) so the number of reared families from the former 24 grows to 26. This is approximately 30% of the Diptera families living in Hungary. During the research 140 Diptera species were identified. Table 2 shows the distribution of fly species among families. Most of them were mentioned in earlier publications (Dely-Draskovits 1972/a, b, 1974; Dely-Draskovits et Mihályi 1972, Dely-Draskovits and Papp 1973; Papp 1972). The results concerning some families (Anisopodidae, Psychodidae, Ceratopogonidae, Tipulidae, Piophilidae and Lonchaeidae) are published for the first time. Table 2.
