The light traps have captured a total of 316 species. This is 62.3 percent of the Hungarian fauna. There are some very interesting species in this material in spite of the intensive, or non-systematic plant protection. Some faunistical curiosities were also found, with a few scattered localities in Hungary, including some mountainous species: Euxoa hastifera Dzl., Ochropleura signifera Schiff., Parexarnis pgax Tr., Chersotis rectangula Schiff., Ch. cuprea Schiff., Graphiphora augur Schiff., Lycophotia porhyrea Schiff., Diarsia mendica F., Amathes ditrapezjum Schiff., Naenia typica L., Eurois occulta L., Mesogona oxalina Hb., Mythimna straminea Tr., Cucullia balsamitae B., Omphalophana antirrhini Hb., Blepharita adusta Esp., Antitype chi L., Atethmia ambusta Schiff., Apamea lateritia Hfn., A. unanimis Hb., A. pabulatricula Brahm., Mesapamea secalella Remm, Aegle koekeritziana Hb., Periphanes delphinii L., Chrysoptera c-aureum Knoch., Euchalcia consona F., E. modesta Hb., Autographa pulchrina Nw., Catocala electa Bkh., Epizeuxis calvaria Schiff. Lycophotia porphyrea Schiff, and Mesapamea secalella Remm are new for the Hungarian Plain. Some zoogeographical curiosities are: Discestra dianthi hungarica Wagner, Hyssia cavernosa gozmanyi Kov., Brachionycha syriaca decipulae Kov., Apamea syriaca tallosi Kov. et Varga, Gortyna borelii lunata Frr., Phyllophila obliterata Rbr.
