one. Plate of the fore wing with pubescence of minute hairs. The oblique hairless stripe with undifferentiated borders (proximal and distal hairs bor­dering the stripe are alike) . Apical marginal fringe present. The middle meta­tarsus (1st segment of the middle tarsi) very long; spur of the middle tibiae somewhat shorter. Abdomen subtriangular , shorter than mesosoma (thorax + pro­podeum). Illrd abdominal (1st gastral ) tergite very long, occuping about 1/2 the length of gaster. Pygostyles at the level approximately 1/2 the length of gaster. Apex of IXth syntergite (tergites IX+X)concavely incised. The last(VII) abdominal sternite (hypopygium ) reaching somewhat beyond apex of gaster and enclosing beneath, giving an impression that ovipositor sheath does not pro­trude. Body dark, with metallic lustre. Male unknown . Type species: Gafsa pappi sp . n. Derivatio nomini generi: from Tunesian town Gafsa, the type locality of the species. Figs 3-5.
