Apanteles vanessae Reinhard, 1880 - Head in dorsal viewless transverse, 1.7-1.8(-1.9) times as broad as long; eye relatively short, about as long as temple, rl short, about half as long as width of pterostigma; metacarp short, about equal with length of pterostigma. Discoidal cell wide, 1. 3-1.4 times wider than high. Hypopygium variable in its size, sometimes large and pointed, surpassing end of last tergite. - Distribution: a Palaearctic species. In Hungary most frequently collected in the Eupannonicum (I/l) and in the Pilisicum (II/l).
