S. Head not broader than pronotum; with 2 shallow depressions between eyes ; EI= 14: 14; vertex weakly swollen, longitudinal furrow faintly impressed; antennae rather slender; segment length ratios : 11:5:13:12:13:12:14:14:15: 14:21. Pronotum a little trans verse; widest in anterior 1/3; surface glabrous, shining, with very indistinct punctures on sides around anterior angles. Elytra with all punctural rows reaching apex; rows strongly impressed; stria! punctures moderately coarse, contiguous; intervals convex; paired interFigs 43-44. 43= Casnonidea loksai sp. n., S. - 44= C. pallens sp. n., 5* vais glabrous, except interval II which bears 4 subbasal setae; unpaired intervals with several setigerous punctures scattered throughout whole length; these punctures arranged in 2 loose series in inner unpaired intervals; interval I with 26, III with 39, V with 30, VII with 20, IX with 25, lateral margin with 32 setigerous punctures; setae pale, rather long; elytral apex simply rounded.
