S. Mahunka szerk.: Folia Entomologica Hungarica 47/1-2. (Budapest, 1986)

Remarks: The new taxon is distinguished from all heretofore known Oppiida genera by several special characteristics (prodorsal and dorsosejugal surface, the development of apodemes, etc.). Rugoppia luisiae sp.n. Measurements. - Length: 288-304 um, width: 146-168 um. Prodorsum: Rostral apex curved downwards, like a bird' s beak. Rostral setae arising on the prodorsal surface, longer and stronger than other prodorsal ones. Costulae (Fig. 63) diverging anteriorly, some other chitinous laths also observable in this region. Two pairs of light spots and a pair of sharp longitudinal lines present in the interlamellar region. Lamellar setae short, interlamellar ones minute. Sensillus pectinate, with 11-12 branches of different lengths. A small part of the exobothridial region granulate (Fig. 67). Notogaster: Lyrifissure ia long, originating between setae ta and te. Dorsosejugal margin with 4 longer and 10-12 shorter wrinkles (Fig. 63). Nine pairs of notogastral setae of different lengths present, all unilaterally pectinately ciliate. Coxisternal region: Apodemes and borders weakly developed only sejugal one stronger. In this region one pair of tubercles present, directed forwards. Epimeres 3-4 reaching behind genital aperture, but their posterior border disappearing medially. Great difference in lengths among the epimeral setae: median setae short, lateral setae (lc, 3c, 4c) longer, setae 3c the longest of all. Setae lc, 3c and 4c arising on small tubercles (Fig. 64). Setae 4b originating behind genital aperture.
