teeth much shorter than median apex. Rostral setae arising on dorsal surface being slightly longer than lamellar ones. Both pairs well ciliate, exobothridial and interlamellar setae very short,simple, ex>in. Prodorsal surface without costulae, but some fine lines or rugae in front of lamellar setae and a transversal line in interbothridial region present. Some light spots visible basally and laterally. Exobothridial region (Fig. 20) well granulate, also being present on the surface of pedotecta 1. One pair of tubercles observable in opposite position to bothridia. Sensillus very long, setiform, ciliate, its end (Fig. 19) slightly lanceolate. Dorsosejugal suture convex. Setae ta minute arising very near to each other, their distance smaller than distance between bothridia. Three pairs very long setae present, their distal end slightly dilate. All other notgastral setae minute, hardly discerni ble. Ventral side (Fig. 18): Apodemes strongly developed. Epimeral surface with irregular ornamentation, consisting of spots and an irregular netwotk. Epimeral setae long, ciliate, setae lc longer than 4c, arising on lateral margin of pedotecta 1. Pedotecta 4 reduced, epimeres 3-4 very large, apodeme 4 situated in posterolateral position. Six pairs of genital setae present, anterior two pairs longer than the others. Aggenital setae much longer than adanal ones, among the latter setae adj in postanal, ad 2 and adß in paraanal position. Pori iad situated in apoanal position, far from anal opening. Material examined: Holotypus (1071-HO-84):S.-Afr.3. 13 paratypus from the same sample. Holotypus and 6 paratypes (1071-PO-84); HNHM, 6 paratypes: TMP, 1 paratype: MHNG. Tectoppiella verrucosa sp.n. Measurements.- Length: 418-484 urn, width: 237-278 pm. Dorsal side (Fig. 21): Rostrum trifurcate, its median apex not longer than the lateral ones, incisions deep and wide. Rostral setae arising dorsally, not longer than lamellar ones. Ratio of prodorsal setae: ro - le>in>ex. Costulae completely absent. Three pairs of light spots and basally two pairs of round tubercles present between interlamellar setae. Exobothridial region well granulate, this formation spreading anteriorly (Fig. 23) in front of pedotecta 1. Sensillus very long, setiform, longer than notogastral setae. Dorsosejugal suture convex. Setae ta short, they stands nearer ti each other than setae te. Three pairs of very long, ciliate notogastral setae (te, ti, ms) present. Other notogastral setae very short or minute. Ventral side (Fig. 22): Apodemes and bordures thick, wide. Epimeral surface ornamented by irregular polygonal network. Epimeral setae long, well ciliate, setae lc much longer than 4c, arising on pedotecta 1. Pedotecta 4 reduced. Six pairs of long genital (Fig. 24) setae present.Anal setae short, not longer than anal ones, but ciliate. Anal and aggenital setae smoth. Material examined: Holotypus (1072-HO-84): S.-Afr . 3. 17 paratypes: from the same sample. Holotypus and 8 paratypes (1072-PO-84) HNHM; 8 paratypes: TMP, 1 paratypes: MHNG.
