Figs 88-89. Paraphysobates abditus gen.n., sp.n. - 88: dorsal side, 89: ventral side Interlamellar setae short, shorter than half length of lamellae. Lamellar surface with some fine rugae or lines. Bothridium (Fig. 87) very large, its inner end elongate into a long spine. Sensillus long, its head small, well spiculate. 10 pairs of curved notogastral setae and 3 ( ! ) pairs of areae porosae present. Surface of notogastral with characteristic ornamentation: behind bothridia some radiate lines, between setae ms some polygonate fields visible, and the whole surface punctate. Tectum absent; genal teeth shap.well separated (Fig. 84). Anterior margin of pedotecta 1 serrate. Epimeral region lineate, longitudinal lines directed slightly medially. Epimeral setae minute, hardly discernible. Discidium and custodium well developed, the latter curved (Fig. 86). Exopedial fields also lineate, ventral plate finely punctate. Four pairs of genital, one pair of aggenital, two pairs of anal and three pairs of adanal setae present, all minute. Pori iad situated, in the anterior corner of anal plates. Legs: All legs monodactylous . Material examined: Holotypus: E.-Y.No. 1310; 2 paratypes: from the same sample; 2 paratypes: S.Afr. 1. Holotypus and 2 paratypes; TMP; 1 paratypes (1085-PO-84): HNHM; 1 paratype: MHNG. Paraphysobates gen.n. Diagnosis: Family Tegoribatidae Grandjean, 1954. Lamellae fused medially, their basal part covered by dorsosejugal region of notogaster. Interlamellar setae absent, bothridial cups very deep. Four pairs of sacculi, 10 pairs of notogastral alveoli present. Pteromorphae movable. Tutorium short, rounded anteriorly. Epimeral setal formula: 3-1-2-2. Apodemes short, only a short part of ap. 2, ap. sej. and ap. 3 visible. Circumpedial carina long, well developed. Discidium small,
