2 paratypes (1029-PO-84): HNHM, 1 paratype: MHNG. Other material: 1 specimen: Ang. 18376: Foret-galerie Riviere Kahongo (4 7.39 S, 20.51 E), affl. Luachimo, Mwaeka, 20.VI. 1964. leg. Ed. Luna de CARVALHO. Measurements: Length of aspis: 128-136 urn, length of notogaster: 244-252 urn, height of notogaster: 168-176 urn. Aspis (Fig. 2): Anterior and lateral part of prodorsum smooth or finely punctate, basally well foveolated, foveolae arranged In longitudinal rows. Rostral, lamellar and interlamellar setae fine, thin, setiform. Lamellar setae arising anteriorly, much nearer to rostral than to interlamellar ones. Sensillus very long, curved, S-shaped, thin, only a thin velum present along distal half of sensillus. Notogaster (Fig. 1): Surface sparsely pitted. Fourteen pairs of very thin notogastral setae present, all directed backwards. Setae c^ arising on collar line, distance between setae C2 and eg from collar line equal. Pori ih and ips absent or not observable. Anogenital region (Fig. 3): Genital and anal plates very wide. Its posterior (genital) and anterior (anal) margin well waved. Five pairs of long, thin ano-adanal setae present, an 2 and adg arising In a transversal Une, distance between setae nearly equal in length, adg shorter, the other four pairs nearly equal in length. Remarks: The ranging of this species in the genera of the family Phthiracaridae is rather problematic, probably it represents a new genus but any establishment would need further examinations. Hoplophorella andrei (Balogh, 1958) comb. n. Measurements: Length of aspis: 221-279 jam, length of notogaster: 435-549 um, height of notogaster: 254-353 urn. Aspis (Fig. 6): Its surface without foveolae, dorsally and laterally only punctate, basally, behind the lamellar setae with some ribs. A well-observable thin carina present laterally. Rostral setae dilated, curved and directed inwards in front of rostrum. Lamellar setae phylliform, finely roughened. Interlamellar setae minute, simple. Sensillus long, Its head gradually widened but flattened anteriorly. Notogaster (Fig. 4): Shape very characteristic, from dorsal view (Fig. 7), behind the shoulder, little narrowed dorsally a framed, nearly oblong fields well separated from the parts of body. Surface weakly foveolated, ornamentation partly scarcely visible, or absent, e.g. behind setae c 2 and C3. Fifteen pairs of phylliform or spoon-shaped notogastral setae present, similar to lamellar ones. Its position also very characteristic, setae c^ originating farther from the collar Une than c 2 and. C3. Setae cp originating in front of pori ia, near to anterior and lateral margins, setae hg arising also more anteriorly than In the other Hoplophorella species. Anogenital region (Fig. 8): Three pairs of ano-adanal setae in marginal (anal) position, they stand very near to each other, all three pairs slightly dilated, anterior one rounded distally, the two posterior ones (ad^ and an^) pointed at tip. Setae ad 2 dilated, spoon-shaped, adg thin, simple (Fig. 5). Hoplophorella angolensis sp. n. Measurements: Length of aspis: 227 urn, length of notogaster: 414 pm, heigth of notogaster: 273 urn.
