S. Mahunka szerk.: Folia Entomologica Hungarica 45/2. (Budapest, 1984)

Stilicoderus nubilus sp. n. This species is larger than S . feae Fauv. (from India) and differs further in not having the granular pronotum nor the coarse puncturation of the elytra. - Black, except maxillary palpi, last three segments of the antennae, elytra and apical border of the seventh and whole of the eighth tergite reddish. Head transverse (6:5) orbicular, dull due to the whole surface being extremely finely reticulate which can only be seen at high magnification. Temples rounded and with a number of long porrect bristles, longitudinal diameter of the eyes shorter than the temples (3:5).Labrum tridentate in the centre median tooth keeled to the base; antennae with all segments longer than broad, third segment half the length of the first, third segment longer than the second, then each segment slightly shorter than its predecessor, last segment pointed, pear-shaped, all segments narrower at the base, with apical setae. Pronotum as broad as long, broadest at anterior third, strongly converging to the "neck", dull with the same reticulation as on the head, with long lateral bristles which are denser on the anterior third. Elytra as broad as long, parallel-sided, dull but without minute reticulation, with some irregularly placed punctures and very short black setae which are longer and denser along the suturai margins, with two long bristles at the "shoulders". Abdomen finely punctured and pubescent, broadening to the sixth tergite. Legs pubescent and setose, tibiae with long slender bristles. Anterior tibiae, at least in the male, with dense reddish-yellow setae for two thirds of the inner side where there is an indentation. Intermediate and posterior tibiae at the apex with dense reddish-yellow setae. Aedeagus fig. 13. - Length 10 mm. Holotype cf, Okapa, 28.iii.1965 from dead branches; paratype Ç Okapa, Eastern Highlands, New Guinea, 8.XÜ.1972 (1 ex). The holotype has a deep round depression in the head and the pronotum which is thought to be an accident and is therefore not mentioned in the description. Stilicoderus funebris sp. n. This species is slightly larger than S. nubilus sp. n. and is dull black in colour except the apical segments of the antennae, maxillary palpi and the apical border of the seventh and whole of the eighth tergite which are reddish. - Head transverse orbicular (6:5), dull due to the whole surface being extremely finely reticulate under high power magnification. Temples rounded and with a number of long porrect bristles, eyes from above shorter than the temples (5:3). Labrum tridentate, antennae with segment two much shorter than the first, segments three to six longer than the second, but shorter than the first, seven to ten each shorter than the previous, last segment acuminate. Pronotum a little longer than broad, dull, strongly contracted to the "neck", broadest at anterior third, with a few lateral bristles. Elytra as long as broad, parallel-sided, dull,irregularly but distinctly punctured, with a few lateral bristles, suture broadly bordered. Abdomen very finely pubescent, broadest at tergite five. Legs long, with three or four distinct bristles on the tibiae. Aedeagus fig. 14. - Length 10 mm. Holotype cf unique, Okapa, 28.iii.1965 (R. HORNABROOK). Rugilus triangulus sp. n. Compared with R. pruinosus Cam., (from Sumatra) this species has the same shape of the pronotum, but the antennae and elytra are shorter, and much less densely and finely punctured. Aedeagus figs 15-16. - Black, antennae, palpi and legs dusky-yellow. Head transverse (3.5:2.5) orbicular, extremely densely and finely punctured; eyes large not very convex, their longitudinal diameter equal to the length of the temples which are abruptly rounded forming a straight posterior margin; there are several black bristles both before and behind the eyes. The labrum is straight but with two very small central teeth; antennae with segments one to six longer than broad, seven to ten as long as broad, last segment longer than the penultimate, finely setose. Pronotum longer than broad (3:2.5), very densely and very finely punctured, these sometimes inclining to be confluent, the interstices narrower than the fine punctures; broadest at anterior third where it strongly converges to the narrow "neck" forming a triangle, converging to the posterior margin but not so strongly; with one or two lateral bristles, one at the angle. Elytra as broad as long, parallelsided, shining, extremely finely shallowly punctured and pubescent, with suturai borders, which terminate before the suturai corners. Abdomen extremely finely punctured and pubescent. Legs finely pubescent. - Length 5.5 mm. Holotype cf, Okapa, vii.1965; paratypes, same data (3 ex); Lufa, 6500 ft, 14.Hi. 1973 (7 ex);
