mesonotal furrow, by the distinctly broader, smooth, polished area nearly in the whole ventro-lateral side of tergite 2, by POL:OOL = 7:11 and not 7:8 etc. Owing to the variability of this species, partly to the considerable resemblance between this species to H. rufaMóczár as well as to Sulcomesitius masneri sp. n., it is necessary to complement the description of this species. I publish here only the revised characters, and not the whole diagnosis. Length 2.5-4 mm. Head 1.11 times longer than broad (holotype 38:34), remarkably lengthened behind eyes, latter separated from occiput by a distance equalling length of eye-width (holotype 12). POL:OOL = 7:8. Eyes round, hardly longer than broad (holotype 12:11), separated from mandibles by a distance of three-quarters eye-length (9:12, holotype), or eyes 1.11-1.36 times broader than malar space. Length (and breadth) proportions of antennái joints 1-3 = 16(6): 7(3): 8(5). Pronotum (fig. 169) 1.26 times broader in front than its length medially (holotype 24:19). Propodeal disc only 1.21 times longer medially, than Its half width before spine (17 : 14). Lateral spines acute also in lateral view (fig. 171), about two-thirds as long as length of propodeum medially (holotype 9:14), or propodeum (fig. 172) 1.44-1.71 times longer than spine. Tergite 2 ventro-laterally with a broader polished area anteriorly, which is distinctly narrowing posteriorly. Heterocoelia granulata sp. n. S . - Length 4.5 mm. Black, clypeus, mouth parts brown, tegulae dark brown, femora apically, tibiae basally and apically, tarsi yellowish brown. Wings normal, nearly hyaline, veins yellow, only subcosta, pterostigma and radial vein brownish. Body sparsely covered with short white hairs, antennae with dense and a little longer than proclinate but shorter than suberect white hairs. Head round, as long as broad (40), strongly thickened and convergent behind eyes (fig. 173), separated from occiput by a distance nearly equalling length of an eye (10); occipital margin distinct; ocelli in a slightly acute nearly rectangle, POL:OOL = 6:10, outer margins of ocelli with shallow grooves, hind ocelli separated from occiput by a distance equalling length of OOL; frontal sulcus hardly visible; surface of head very densely but not deeply punctured; eye very convex, rather longer than broad (13 : 15), separated from mandible by about half distance of its width (6 : 13), or eye 2.5 times longer than malar space (15 : 6); anterior corners of clypeus rectangular laterally, surface raised longitudinally In a rather high sharp keel medially; antennae long and slender joints 2-7 nearly of equal length, joint 2 convex on both sides, 3-4 divergent towards apically, 5-12 with parallel sides, joints 2-7 nearly twice as long as broad, length (and breadth) proportions of antenna! joints 1-13 = 14(5): 8(4): 8.5(4): 7(4): 8(4): 7(4): 7(4): 7(4): 6(4): 6(3.5): 6(3.5): 6(3): 8(3). Pronotum nearly three-quarters as long as broad (23 : 30) (without collar) (fig. 173), anterior corners nearly rectangle, lateral sides slightly concave just behind corners, posterior margin arcuate, longitudinal sulcus sharp and narrow, surface with very dense, deep, coarse and larger punctures than on head. Mesonotum, scutellum slightly shining with sparse smaller punctures (fig. 174), notaulices very deep, longitudinal furrow of mesonotum and basal sulcus of scutellum not developed, surface of scutellum finely alutaceous. Half diameter of propodeum transversally as broad as its length medially (20), all carinae distinct (fig. 174), lateral sides of propodeum nearly parallel, hardly cc. /ex before spines and divergent beginning with spines, latter acute viewed from above and slightly obtuse from the side, shorter than half length of propodeum medially (8 : 10). Lateral side of propodeum slightly shining more finely sculptured than lateral side of thorax, by the coarser sculpture similar to pronotum with deeper furrow transversally below tegulae. Abdominal tergite 1 polished with fine scattered punctures medially and slightly denser laterally, tergite 2 broadly granulate basally, with distinctly scattered punctures medially (fig. 175) and posteriorly, finely alutaceous on its posterior margin and on tergites 2-6. Sternite 2 with distinct scattered punctures. - ^ . - Unknown. Holotype: 1 <? "Sri Lanka: Man.Dist. Ma Villu 16-19-rX-1980", "Collected in Malaise trap", "K.V.KROMBEIN, P. B.K ARUNARATNE, T.WIJESINHE, L. JAYAWICKREMA, V.GUNAWARDANE" (Washington, USNM Type No. 101162). This species is similar to H. halidayella (Westwood, 1874) (Euro-Turanian and Mediterranean region: Middle Europe and Italy) but differs by the antennae not being yellowish brown, joint 2 not two-thirds as long as 3, tergite 2 not only with fine and scattered punctures, pronotum not with scattered punctures, etc. This species differs from H. fischeri Móczár, 1971b (reported from the Ethiopian territory:
