"K.V. KROMBEIN, P.B. KARUNARATNE, T. WIJESINHE, L. J AY AWICKRE MA, V. GUN A WARDANE", "Collected in Malalse trap" (Hym. Typ.No. 3692 Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest). I name this, species in honour of the outstanding specialist of Pompilidae Mr.Raymond WAHIS, Chaudfontaine, Belgium. This species is very similar especially in colour to Pycnomesitius hirashimai Móczár, 1981, but differs from it especially by the lateral spine of propodeum not as short, length of propodeum medially not 2.5 times longer than spine, latter not obtuse viewed from the side, by tergite 1 not deeply punctured, especially not laterally, by lateral margins of propodeum not straight, not divergent, by antenna! joint 3 not nearly twice longer than 2, by tergite 2 not very densely and deeply punctured, etc. Sulcomesitius laosensis Móczár, 1976 Sulcomesitius laosensls Móczár, 1976: Annls hist.-nat. Mus.natn.hung. 68: 280 Ó 1 figs 12-14 Specimen examined: 1 6*'Sayaboury (holotype), Laos. - Distribution: III . Laos (MÓCZÁR 1976a). Sulcomesitius kosztarabi sp. n. 6". - Length 2.9 mm. Black, posterior margins of abdominal segments dark reddish translucent, clypeus, malar space near to basis of mandibles, teeth of mandibles brownish red, mandibles yellowish red, mouth parts, antennae, tegulae and legs brown only lower side of antennái joints 1-9, tibiae basally and apically, tarsi yellowish brown. Wings normal, fore wings brownish infuscated, with hyaline base and a narrow transversal band outside of cells. Body covered with sparse white hairs. Antennae with dense and short yellowish red proclinate hairs (fig. 106). Head as long as broad (39), broadened behind eyes, lateral side slightly convergent (viewed from above) with rounded corners (fig. 109), posterior margin only weakly arched, with a row of larger punctures before occipital margin. Ocelli in a right angle, or slightly acute angle, hind ocelli separated from each other by a hardly shorter distance than those from eyes, POL:OOL • 7:9, outer margin with distinct shining grooves (fig. 109); frontal sulcus at antennái sockets present, short and very narrow, surface of head shagreened with very dense punctures; anterior margin of clypeus broadly protruding medially, with obtuse corners divergent laterally, raised longitudinally Into a sharp high keel medially; eyes large, longer than broad (15 : 12), separated from mandibles by half distance of the width of mandible or by length of antennái joint 2 (6). Antenna! joints remarkably short, in the middle slightly broadened; only scape and last joints twice as long as their breadth, joints 3, 6-8 of equal length, 4-5 as long as joints 9-11, they are shorter than 3, joint 2 only 1.3 times longer than broad, 4 1.4 times longer than broad, length (and breadth) proportions of antennái joints 1-13 = 10(5): 6(4.5): 8(5): 7(5): 7(5): 8(5): 8(5): 8(5): 7(5): 7(5): 7(4.5): 6(4): 9(4). Pronotum 1.64 times broader In front than Its length medially (28 : 17), anterior corners slightly protruding (fig. 109) owing to a wrinkle emerging ln lateral side and reaching corners, lateral sides concave anteriorly and diverging backwards, posterior margin weakly arched, surface shagreened, with dense, irregular but not deep punctures, longitudinal furrow very narrow, distinct only basally, as well as before posterior margin. Mesonotum shagreened, only weakly shining with dense small punctures medially and with some larger punctures laterally; parapsidal furrow developed, notaulices very deep and very sharply margined, longitudinal furrow developed only before posterior margin, consisting of one or two deep elongate large punctures (fig. 108). Scutellum finely Impressed basally ln the middle (fig. 108) shagreened with smaller and with some larger deeper punctures. Propodeum short, remarkably (0.84 times) shorter than half diameter of its breadth (16 : 19), lateral margins remarkably convex (viewed from above) and diverging from spines outwards (fig. 108), spines acute, 0.56 times shorter than length of propodeum (9 : 16); all carinae and areas developed, sublateral area very finely striated, lateral one wrinkled transversally. Lateral side of propodeum just along upper margin laterally with a parallel wrinkle not reaching to spine. Episternum coarsely and irregularly punctured. Abdomen smooth, shining, tergite 1 polished, with distinct and scattered punctures medially and laterally, tergite 2 deeply and medially rather densely, partly distinctly (fig. 107), laterally very densely punctured, interspaces larger than punctures, basis of tergite 2 only medially shagreened, posterior margin very narrow-
