punctures. Antenna not thickened medially ( <j ), slender and either proximal joints with narrower basis and broadened tip which is rounded or truncate, almost with sparsely and extremely long erect hairs (cf. fig. 84) or suberect hairs (fig. 12), at least some or all joints 2-6 narrowed basally and apically, and with convex sides, hairs of flagellum distinctly shorter than breadth of joints. Pronotum with distinct longitudinal furrow, on some male only proximally and medially developed. Propodeum with distinct carinae and well-separated areas, developed sometimes only weakly, lateral angles only with hardly any ( o*) or with moderately long (o_) spines. Tergite 2 with fine scattered punctures ( o) or partly alutaceous-shagreened and indistinctly or very finely punctured. 27 species are known from Oriental territory (East, South-East India, Sri Lanka fauna province), from Ethiopian territory and from Palearctic territory (Euro-Turanian and Mediterranean region), only 4 from the latter. Type-species: Metrionotus pappi Móczár, 1970 Females and males 1 o : proximal antennái joints narrowed only basally and not apically (fig. 8) joints 3-6 of equal length. Tergite 2 alutaceous in the basal third, polished (fig. 10) and with scattered very fine punctures up to posterior margin excepting polished area along ventro-lateral margin. Wings normal. Head, thorax yellowish red, antennae, legs, partly tegulae brown, mesonotum (fig. 10) partly, propodeum excepting declivous part posteriorly, black. 2.5 mm submlnimus sp. n. - ó" 1 : antennái joints 2, 2-4 (fig. 12) or 2-6 narrowed basally and apically, and with convex sides, hairs long, suberect. Longitudinal furrow of pronotum entirely developed. Head, thorax black, only pronotum rarely dark red 2 2 Central area viewed in the middle (fig. 11) as broad as sublateral area (5:5). Tergite 2 shagreened-alutaceous on its one-quarter part basally, polished with some scattered and very fine punctures up to posterior margin. Pronotum dark red, posterior margin yellowish translucent. Propodeum as long as half breadth transversally. Lateral spine* of propodeum one-third as long as length of propodeum (fig. 11). Antenna! joint 2 distinctly longer than 3 (8 : 6). Parapsldal furrow hardly distinct. Surface of head (fig. 13) and pronotum granulated with shallow punctures (fig. 11). 2.5 mm rufohumerus sp. n. Central area of propodeum remarkably narrower than sublateral area.Tergite 2 finely or very finely punctured. Pronotum black 3 3 Pronotum and half disc of propodeum as long as broad, rectangular. Lateral spine of propodeum distinctly acute, nearly as long as half length of propodeum medially (3 : 4). Longitudinal furrow of pronotum very narrow.Tergite 2 alutaceous-shagreened basally, polished and very with fine and very scattered punctures on other parts, tergites 3-6 alutaceous. 2.9 mm hongkongensis Móczár, 1974 - Pronotum about three-quarters as long as broad (in front) (9 : 13), anterior angles slightly rounded. Propodeum slightly longer than half breadth transversally (10 : 9), lateral sides convex, spine about twice as long as broad basally (fig. 7) and about one-third as long as length of propodeum (3 : 10). Longitudinal furrow of pronotum narrow. Tergite 2 finely alutaceous basally and with distinct and scattered punctures (fig. 6), 3-5 alutaceous. Brownish antennái joints 2-3 of equal length, joint 2 slightly broader than 3. 2.5 mm biroi (Móczár, 1971) Metrionotus subminimus sp.n. <j> . - Length 2.5 mm. Head, thorax largely yellowish red, upper side of antennái joints 5-13, tegulae, femora 2-3, as well as tibiae 1-3 partly brown, a larger spot of mesonotum basally, also The spine is measured beginning from the fusion point of the sublateral area and the transverse carinae up to tip of the spine.
