ROVARTANI KÖZLEMÉNYEK XLV. 1 1984 p. 9-13 Reports of Agathidiini from Mongolia (Coleoptera: Leiodidae)* By F. ANGELINI (Received 18 November, 1983) Abstract: This paper deals with the Agathidiini species collected in Mongolia by Dr. Z. KASZAB in the years 1964, 1965, 1966 and 1968. The following seven species have been recognized: Cyrtoplastus serlepunctatus Bris. (= Cyrtoplastus mongollcus Hlisn.), Cyrtoplastus irregularis Reitt. (?) (= Anisotoma mongolica Hlisn., = Amphycillis globus Emetz 1975:66, 1976: 144 pars), Agathldium (Cyphoceble) dlscoldeum Er. (= Agathldium discoideiforme Hlisn.), Agathldium (Cyphoceble) arctlcum Thorns. (= Agathidium kaszabi Hlisn. i.l.), Agathldium (Neoceble) confusum Bris. (= Amphycillis globus Emetz 1975:69, 1976:144 pars), Agathldium (Neoceble) marginatum Sturm (= Agathidium mongolicum Hlisn.), Agathldium (s.str.) laevigatum Er. (= Agathldium languidum Hlisn.). The Agathidiini fauna of Mongolia have remained unknown for a long time. The first paper on this subject was published in 1967 by HLISNIKOVSKY, who dealt with 15 specimens, 5 species, collected by Dr.Z. KASZAB (1964, 1965). Later, EMETZ revised the material studied by HLISNIKOVSKY and synonymized five species. In the same paper EMETZ treated further 18 specimens collected in Mongolia by Dr. KASZAB (1966, 1968), belonging to 4 species and including two new records from this region. Lastly, in 1976 EMETZ cites 8 species, of which two with reservations. I wish to thank Dr. Zoltán KASZAB for the kind permission of studying the Agathidiini he collected in Mongolia, which were previously examined by HLISNIKOVSKY (1967) and EMETZ (1975).
