Apanteles phaetusa Nixon, 1973 - A 3pecies somewhat resembling both A. errans and A. exiguus. Head in dorsal view less transverse, 1.7-1.8 times broader than long, temple frequently slightly broadening. First tergite narrowing posteriorly, its apical width clearly shorter than median length of second tergite. Hind corner of propodeum somewhat (and not always) raised. ­Distribution: According to our present knowledge its area is disjunct: Europe and Mongolia. In Europe reported from England, Netherland, Germany, Hungary and Bulgaria. New to the fauna of Hungary. Supposedly a widely distributed and rather a frequent species in the Palaearctic Region. Localities: 1 cf: Noszvaj, Sikfőkút, swept in a Querceto petraeae-cerris. 1 g: Pilismarót, 2 ç>: Sátoraljaújhely, 1 g: Tahi, ex Elachista sp. (det. Apanteles rufulus Tobias, 1964 - Body black, mesosoma with rich reddish yellow pattern. Legs reddish yellow, hind coxa infuscate. Penultimate joint of antenna 1.4-1,5 times as long as broad. Mesonotum and mesopleuron anteriorly densely coriaceous-rugulose, dull. Stigma light or opaque brown with a more or less distinct basal yellow(ish) spot. 2.2 mm (gl. - Distribution: A rare species. Widely distributed In the USSR (Kazakhstan, Azerbaidzhan, European part), sporadically in Turkey. New to the fauna of Hungary. Localities: - 1 g: Budapest, Gellérthegy. 1 g: Dömsöd, Apajpuszta. 1 $: Szőcs. - V, VIII-IX Apanteles viminetorum (Wesmael, 1837) - Fore margin of metanotum clearly laterally from its middle without a pair of forward-pointed and more or less distinct small projection - an exceptional feature among the species of circumscriptus­group. First tergite evenly narrowing from base to apex, its hind half rugose, second tergite with weaker rugosity. Ovipositor sheath in lateral view expanded, apically rather truncate, i.e. with a unique form in its outline. Body black, legs dark with a more or less brownish yellow pattern. - Distribution: Frequent in the western Palaearctic Region.
