Ulidiidae (Diptera) from Mongolia* By V. F. ZAITZEV (Received July 12, 1982) Abstract: List of 24 species collected by Dr. Z. KASZAB (1963-1968) in Mongolia. This paper appeares as a result of a study of material collected by Dr. Z. KASZAB in Mongolia in 1963-1968 (KASZAB, 1963-1968). At present over 60 species of Ulidiidae are known in the Palearctic. Fourteen of them belong to the genus Ulidia

, 38 species to the genus Timia sensu lato. In Mongolia Dr. Z. KASZAB collected 24 species of the genera Ulidia and Timia

, 9 of them having been described as new (ZAITZEV, 1982). Dr. Z. KASZAB has collected a large number of specimens of many species which considerably facilitated work on this complex family and allowed to elucidate the intraspecific variability of some characters, primarily colouration of some parts of the body, legs and wings. The author expresses his deep gratitute to Dr. Z. KASZAB for the interesting material he has kindly sent to him for study. 1.
