Nebria (Alpaeus) viridipennis , Kirshenblat, 1932: 91 Nebria (Alpaeus) commixta , Kirshenblat, 1932: 91 Nebria (Alpaeus) lederi, Kirshenblat, 1932: 94 N. commixta was described from Transcaucasus (plateau Adjara) in the collection of NORDMANN, but this type locality Í3 probably wrong, as already mentioned by BANNINGER. The point is that NORDMANN also collected in Mingrelia and Abkhasia. This species is known only from the West Caucasus from Fisht Mt. to Swanetia, and I have never seen specimens from Transcaucasus. Thus indication of the type locality by CHAUDOIR is based on mistake. Lectotype, ç (MP) of N. commixta Chaud., designated here, without labels. It is a large specimen (14.0 mm) with wide pronotum (fig. Ill) and convex elytra with strong green metallic lustre. N. viridipennis Reitt. was described from the collection of LEDER from Swanetia. Latter REITTER (1888) mentioned this species from Fisht Mt. and Abago Mt. The type is absent in the collection of the HNHM, but specimens from Fisht Mt. and Abago Mt identified as N. viridipennis Reitt. quite well correspond with N. commixta Chaud. All differences of his species from N. com mixta Chaud., indicated by REITTER (1888, 1907) are invalid. Form of pronotum - fig. 112, male genital organs - Figs 119, 120, 124, 125, 129, 132. N. lederi Reitt. is only a small individual form of N. commixta without metallic lustre. Specimens with such colour sometimes occur together with the nominal form. Lectotype, cf of N. lederi Reitt. (HNHM), designated here, with label "Caucas. occ, Circassien, LEDER, REITTER", "Fischt". Paralectotypes: 2 ç>, with the same labels (HNHM); 3 cf , 2 o, "Caucasus occ, Circassien, LEDER, REITTER" (ZIL). Pronotum - fig. 113, aedeagus - Figs 121, 126. Material. West Caucasus (Abago Mt.; Atsetuka Mt.; Malaya Chura Mt.); Kuban district, vicinity of Majkop (Dzhuga Mt. ; Psebaj; source of Belaya river); Kuban district (Oshten-Chuba Mt.; Fanagorijskoje; Zagdan canyon); source of Malaya Laba river; glacier in the source of Bolshaya Laba river; Northern Caucasus, Kisha, Bambák Mt.; Pseashkho Mt. ; Achishkho Mt.; Abkhasia, Adange river, tributary of Ukhalta river; Abkhasian ridge, Khymsa pass; Krasnaya Polyana (ZIL). "Caucas. occ, Abago, Starck"; "Mingrelia"; "Circassia, REITTER"; "Kaukasus Swanetien, LEDER,REITTER "(HNHM). "Caucasus, Kuban, C. ROST"; "Abchasien, Anara, C. ROST 11 (MB), ab. lederi Reitt.: Fisht Mt.; Bekasyn Mt., vicinity of Elbrus; Krasnaya Polyana; "Circassia" (ZIL). "Caucas. occ, Circassien, LEDER, REITTER"; "Cauc occ, regio alpestris, Starck"; "Caucasus, NO Oschten, 5000 ft, leg. G.S. SCHAPOLSCHNIKOFF* (MB). Nebria (Alpaeus) barbimentosa sp.n., fig. 5 Pitchy brown, head with indistinct wide dark red V-shaped frontal spot, apex of palpi and antennae piceous, legs black, tarsi hardly paler, elytra with visible greenish or violet lustre. Head with moderately prominent eyes, frontal furrows flat with some transverse wrinkles. Antennae long and slender, extending in male to middle of elytra, in female its basal third. First antennái segment - fig. 106. Penultimate segment of labial palpi with 4 setae, base of mentum with 4-6 setae, submentum with row of 8-10 setae. Pronotum (fig. 114) moderately convex, 1,39-1.47 times as wide as head, 1.25-1.35 times as wide as long, at sides slightly sinuated before sharp 1 hind angles, apical angles short and rounded; median line and transverse impressions deep, basal foveae deep but rather wide, lateral margins narrow flattened and reflected, basal area and lateral sides with small and dense punctures, apical margin more sparse punctate. Elytra elongate ovate, slightly convex, 1.42-1.52 times as wide as pronotum, 1.54-1.64 times as long as wide, widest behind middle, basal border straight, forming arch with lateral one. Striae rather deep, densely punctate, before apex punctures disappeared; intervals convex, interval 3 with 3-6 small setiferous.pores, scutellar pores present; apical carina weak. Lateral sides of prosternum, mesosternum, metasternum and sternit 1 with small and sparse punctures, metaepisternae 1.8 times as long as wide. Hind coxae unisetose, sternits 3-5 with 2-3 setae on each side, rarely with proportion 1+2, anal sternit in male with 2, in female with 4 setae on hind margin. Fore tarsi of male with 3 dilated segments, segment 4 of hind tarsi strongly extending from below. Microsculpture on head isodiametric, on pronotum consisting of short transverse meshes, on elytra fainter, meshes longer and narrower. Structure of male genital organs - Figs 122, 127, 130, 133.
