II = hind tarsus II. Oviparous female (30 specimens) Morphological characters: In most respects resembling apterous viviparae, but with abdominal sclerotic pattern reduced. Body length 1.51-1.90 mm. Antennae 6-jointed, frequently with incomplete separation of joints III and IV, always without secondary rhinaria, about 0.4-0.5 of body length; processus terminális 2.4-3.2 times as long as basal part of joint VI. Cauda with 6-8 hairs. Subgenital plate with 42-62 hairs which are hard to separate into anterior hairs and posterior marginal ones, but varying from 15-26 on anterior half and 20-36 in posterior marginal series. Hind tibiae with a small slightly swollen area on inner side of basal quarter; pseudosensoria numbering 2-15 lie mostly on swollen part. Colour in life as in apterous viviparae, but slightly paler. Apterous male I found only one subadult specimens just before the last moult. Secondary rhinaria seem to occur on antennái joints III-V inclusive. The males seem to be very rare and occur late, in the end of September. Host plant: Peucedanum oreoselium (L.) Moench. Bionomy: The new species lives monoecious and holocyclic on the roots and basal parts of its umbelliferous host and is not attended by ants. It is rather abundant in the steppe reservations in southern Poland on gypsum and chalky soils, but extremely rare in the north, where only
