features of the group often vary considerably and thus specimens of chrysitis and stenochrysis are often hard to distinguish, especially in the case of males. New to the fauna of Korea. Diachrysia stenochrysis (Warren, 1913). (Plusia stenochrysis Warren, 1913, in Seitz, Grossechmett. der Erde 3: 348, pl. 64). - Prov.Ryang-gang, Hyesan, room of Hotel Hyesan, 25. VII.1975, No. 290, 4 o.; 26.VII.1975, No. 294, 2 o, 1 9.. - Slides: Nrs. 30, 160 (6), 61 (ç), Gen. prep. L. RONKAY. Distribution: an Eastern Sibérien species, found in the littoral of the Pacific Ocean (Sakhalin, Kurili Islands, Korea, Japan, East China) and in the Amur valley. Diachrysia nadeja (Oberthür, 1880). (Plusia nadeja Oberthür, 1880, Études ent., 5: 84, pl. 3, f. 10). - Prov. Ryang-gang: Hyesan, room of Hotel Hyesan, 22.VII. 1975, No. 276, 1 o. Prov. Gang-von: district On-dzong, Kumgang-san, near hotel Go-song, 4.Vin.l975, No. 315, 1 o; 7.Vm.l975, No. 325, 1 8. Distribution: a species of the Sibylla-type, for a long time with localities known from East Asia only (Eastern Siberia, Amur region, Korea, Japan, Mongolia, China, Sakhalin, Kamchatka, Kurili Islands). Recently, however, it was found, and everywhere in a few specimens only, in the European part of the Soviet Union (KOSTROWICKI 1961) and in Central Europe (Roumania: POPESCU-GORJ 1977; Yugoslavia: MLADINOV 1975; SW Hungary: unpublished data! and Switzerland: RÉZBÁNYÁI 1980). I found no differences between the Far Eastern and European specimens. Diachrysia leonina (Oberthür, 1884). ( Plusia leonina Oberthür, 1884, Études ent., 10: 26, pl. 3, f. 11). - Mt. Pektusan, envrions Sam-zi-yan hotel, lake-shore, 18.VII. 1977, No. 373, 1 o. Distribution: a local and rare species in the eastern part of the Palaearctic Region (Eastern Siberia, Ussuri, Korea, Japan, China, Kurili Islands). Diachrysia coreae (Strand, 1916). (Plusia coreae Strand, 1916, Archiv f.Naturg. , 82, A, 2: 50). - Prov. S. Hwanghae, Haeju, 26.IX. 1978, No. 411, 1 o. Distribution: Korea, Japan. The taxic interpretation is still disputed; e.g. KOSTROWICKI considers it as an "aberration" of D. chryson (Esper). Differences in the genitalia (ICHINOSE 1962) indicate that both taxa represent distinct species, and, on the basis of their partially overlapping areas, coreae is to be regarded as a species sympatric with chryson. Autographa gamma (Linnaeus, 1758). (Phalaena Noctun gamma Linnaeus, 1758, Syst.Nat., ed. X.: 513). - Prov. Kangwon, Mt. Kumgang-san, 24.IX. 1978, No. 571, 1 S\ 25.Di. 1978, No. 577, 1 o. - Slides: No. 164 (o), 165 (5), Gen. prep. L. RONKAY. Distribution: ranging in the entire Palaearctic Region. Referring to LEECH, KOSTROWICKI assigned the Far Eastern data to A. nigrisigna (Walker, 1857). Since then, it was found in Japan (SUGI 1966) and now in Korea. New to its fauna. The specimens under discussion agree in every detail with the Western Palaearctic forms. Autographa nigrisigna (Walker, 1857). (Plusia nigrisigna Walker, 1857, Cat. Lep.Het.Brit. Mus., 12. no. 928). - Prov. Ryang-gang, Hyesan, room of Hotel Hyesan; 25.Vn. 1975, No. 290, 2 p. - Prov. S. Hwanghae, Haeju; 27.IX. 1978, No. 419, 1 o. - Slides: Nrs. 113, 114 (p), Gen. prep. L. RONKAY. Distribution: an Eastern Palaearctic species with localities known from Japan, China, Tibet, North India, Bhutan, Afghanistan: Sarobi (a specimen from Afghanistan is preserved also in the Hungarian Natural History Museum: "Prov. Parwan, Estalef, 1950 m, 15.IV. 1974, leg. L. PAPP"). As for Korea, the species was published only recently (PARK and Lee 1977), from the southern part of the peninsula, while it remained unknown so far from the northern regions. Autographa pulchrina (Haworth, 1802). (Noctua pulchrina Haworth, 1802, Prod. Lep.Brit. : 16). - Prov. Ryang-gang, Hyesan, room of Hotel Hyesan, 22.VII. 1975, No. 276, 1 c-; 25.VII. 1975, No. 290, 1 o, 1 9. - Prov. Ryang-gang, Chann-Pay plateau, Sam-zi-yan, 1700 m, 24.VII. 1975, No. 285, 1 9. - Slides: Nrs. 102 (o), 103 (o), Gen. prep. L. RONKAY. Distribution: a Holopalaearctic species, new to the fauna of Korea. The specimens represent transitional forms between the nominate subspecies and ssp. buraetica (Staudinger, 1892), and additional material is needed to decide whether the Korean population represents a specially modified form of the above subspecies or a distinct taxon. Autographa ,mandarina (Freyer, 1846). ( Noctua mandarina Freyer, 1846, Neue Beitr., 5: 164,
