• Scenopinus maculosus sp.n. (Fig. 6) This new species is named for the distinctive color pattern along the margins of the tho­racic tergum. . Length o* body 1.0 mm (Est.), wing 1.7 mm. Male - head lost. Thoracic dorsum black, shining, marginal areas between humeral and supraalar call! with anterior 2/5 cream, remainder light tan; humeral and supraalar calll white (this pattern very distinctive); mesoscutellum black above, ventral margin tan; pleural areas black-brown except around base of wing cream; wing hyaline, veins yellow-brown, ve'ih R4 very faint; haltère stem brown, knob white; legs with coxae through femora red-brown, tarsi brown, tibiae yellow-brown. Abdomen black-brown with very narrow white bands of integumental membrane posterior to segments 3 and 4; 8th tergum pointed; adaegal parameres wiry, S-shaped, very distinct. Female - Unknown. Holotype: Mongolia, Bajanchongor aimak: Oase Echin gol, cca 90 'km NO von Grenz­posten Caganbulag, 950 m, 27.-28.VI. 1967 (Nr. 855), Exp. Dr. Z. KASZAB.
