tergites fainly punctured; sides of tergites without spines laterally. Ultimate tergite broad, smooth; posterior margin with concave section medially. Penultimate sternite rounded posteriorly. Forceps (Fig. 3) typical, more or less symmetrical, broad, stout; trigonal basally, cylindrical apically. Genitalia (Fig. 4) specific; central parameral plate very broad, large, robust, median incision of anterior margin very deep and wide; genital lobes without virgae; fully developed. External paramere broadest medially, its apices a little curved, obtuse. Length of body with forceps: 11,4 mm. Female unknown. Holotype male: South Australia, Melbourne, Sheer brook forest, K. 1., 24.7.1968; legit: Dr. J. Balogh., gen.prep. No. 299, det. Dr. H. Steinmann. - Deposited in the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest. Gonolabis dentata sp.n. Male shining, head black, mesonotum to forceps reddish black, legs yellowish or light brown, pronotum brown. Head rounded, tumid, depressed frontally; postfrontal and coronal sutures fainly distinct. Antennae 13-jointed; first joint moderately short, slightly shorter than distance between antennái bases; second joint small, shorter than third, and its latter long, longer than fourth joint. Eyes relatively long, about more or less as long as the scape. Pronotum quadrate, all margins straight; lateral margins a little concave; median longitudinal furrow present. Tegmina and wings absent. Mesonotum and metanotum normal, transverse. Abdomen of Gonolabis-type, expanded to last tergite; sides of abdominal tergites 8-9 acute laterally. Ultimate tergite very broad, simple; posterior margin straight medially. Forceps (Fig. 5) about symmetrical; branches trigonal basally, and with large curved tooth at dorsal surface basally; cylindrical apically. Penultimate sternite broad, posterior margin truncate. Genitalia (Fig. 6) similar to electa Burr, but central parameral plate very broad; genital lobe with characteristic sclerotized plates; external paramere broad medially. Length of body with forceps: 12-13,5 mm. Female unknown. Holotype male: Australia, Darwin, 28-29.6.1969, legit: Dr. J. Balogh, gen.prep. No. 206, det. Dr. H. Steinmann. - Paratypes: ditto, male 1 ex., and Australia, Victoria, Melbourne, Youyangs Mountains, 1968, legit: Dr. J. Balogh, gen.prep. No. 201, det. Dr. H. Fauna of British India, Dermaptera, p. 79, fig. 21 (male). - Terra typica: Ceylon (Type male: British Museum (Nat.Hist.), London). - Gonolabis electa Burr = Gonolabis minor Borelli, 1926; Boeseman, Zool.Verh., Leiden, 21: 32 (Java). - Gonolabis electa Burr; Popham and Brindle, 1966, Entomologist, 99: 273 (Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Java). Male shining, dark brown; antennae brown, basal joints paler; legs yellowish, femora with dark brown banded. Head tumid, smooth, a little longer than broad, but broader than pronotum. Postfrontal and coronal sutures fainly distinct. Eyes small, more shorter than first antennái joint. Pronotum more or less quadrate, all margins straight, and all angles rounded; median longitudinal furrow impressed line visible. Tegmina and wings absent. Mesonotum broad, and metanotum transverse, typical. Abdomen of Gonolabis-type. expanded to last tergite; gradually. Ultimate tergite rectangular and about twice as broad as long, smooth and shining, with a faint median longitudinal depression; posterior margin truncate. Penultimate sternite ample, very broadly rounded. Forceps (Fig. 7) remote at the base, very stout and trigonal basally, the upper keel corresponding to the slight tumidity of the ultimate tergite. Genitalia (Fig. 8) very characteristic; paramere broad, oval; relatively short; median incision of anterior margin deep and wide; genital lobe without virgae; external paramere easily recognizable; broad with little tips obtuse. - Female very similar to male, but forceps straight, tapering, contiguous; inner margit crenulate.
