S. Mahunka szerk.: Folia Entomologica Hungarica 34/2. (Budapest, 1981)

Microgaster striatoscutellaria Zilahi-Kiss, 1927, Verh.Mitt.siebenb.Ver.Naturw., 77: 13, g (abbreviated synonymization in PAPP 1976). Face with distinct though not confluent punctation. First tergite nearly one-third wider behind than long medially. Last 3-4 joints of antenna barrel-shaped. Previously synonymized by me (PAPP 1959) with M . areolaris Thomson. - Distribution: Sporadically in Europe (Ireland, England, Sweden, Finland, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Roumania: Transylvania). Localities. Hungary. 1 ff: Siófok. - Transylvania (Roumanla). 1 S: Radnai-havasok. 1 g: Szászkézd. - VIII, 1 g + 2 S. Microgaster fusca Papp, 1959 Microgaster fusca Papp, 1959, Annls hist.-nat.Mus .natl. hung. , 51: 407, g ff. Microgaster phryne Nixon, 1968, Bull. Brit.Mus. (nat. Hist. ), Entom., 22(2): 63, g. S (abbreviated synonymization in PAPP 1976). Stigma wide, only twice as long as wide, issuing radial vein hardly distally from its middle. Inner margin of eyes strongly convergent below. On the basis of my description NIXON (1968) supposed that Microgaster fusca belongs to the genus Protomicroplitis Ashmead, the latter genus was re-established by him (NIXON 1965). Examining the type-specimens of M. fusca I stated that my fusca is unambiguously a representative of the genus Microgaster owing to its relatively strong corporal size and distinctly widening first tergite, though the weakly sculptured second tergite and the relatively small Cu2 may be considered as transitional features towards Protomicroplitis . Distribution: Discovered by me in Hungary (PAPP 1959), later NIXON (1968) described it from Macedonia (Yugoslavia) under the name phryne (see synonymization above). Other distributional datum unknown. Since its description from Hungary (from 6 localities) further locality data have been proved. Microgaster hungarica Szépligeti, 1896 Closely related to M. nobilis Reinhard. Face weakly and rather densely punctate. Second tergite rather longitudinally and more or less distinctly striato-rugose. Distance between ocelli at least as long as diameter of an ocellus. Abdomen reddish yellow to yellow, tergites 1-2 always black, hind tergites sometimes (gg) or usually (off) blackish to black. - Distribution: In Hungary frequent, reported from Austria and the European part of the USSR. Up to now twenty localities are known from our country. Besides M. subcompleta Nees (I.e.) it is very similar to M . globata (Linné) too. The main distinction between the two species is given below: M. globata (L.) 1. Nervellus of hind wing straight or, at most, very feebly incurved. 2. Head above smooth, shiny to polished. 3. Cubital cell of hind wing 1.5 times longer than distally wide. Locality. 1 g: Ujszentmargita. - IV, 1 g. M. incurvata Papp 1. Nervellus of hind wing incurved. 2. Head above transversely sculptured, antennái socket striate, vertex and ocellar field striato-rugose. 3. Cubital cell of hind wing twice longer than distally wide.
