Ultimate tergite broad, large; posterior margin strongly elongated and in a superior view projecting deeply between forceps; latter comparatively short, strong, thick; inner margins with a large-sized robust tooth each, apically nearly touching. Material examined: Andorra, 31.8.1964, leg. Th.Skovgaard, 1 male. Distribution: Pyrennes. Pseudochelidura montuosa sp. n. Yellowish white species. Head and abdominal tergites dark yellow, pronotum and tegmina whitish. Head elongate, longer than broad; lateral margins rounded, posterior margin concave; Postfrontal sutures and coronal suture deep. Eyes normal, moderately small, shorter than distance between antennái bases, and shorter than length behind eyes. Antennae 11-jointed (broken); first joint long, longer than length of second and third joints combined; second quadrate, third small, about as long as fourth. Pronotum transverse; median longitudinal furrow distinct in anterior sec­tion of disc; posterior angles and margin rounded. Tegmina very short, a little shorter than pro­notum; posterior margin truncate. Wings absent. Abdomen broad, a little depressed; ultimate tergite broad; posterior margin straight, without process or tubercles. Pygidium broad (Fig. 35); posterior angles tooth-like. Forceps very broad, short, strongly curved; inner margins medially with a large-sized tooth each; arms a little laminate basally, curved and cylindrical apically. Genitalia (Fig. 36) very specific; paramere comparatively small, narrow; genital lobe unpaired, virga within genital lobe of Forficula-type, basal vesicle of forficuloid-type, but in contrast to that of other Pseudochelidura species, bearing also a supplementary sack. External parameres very characteristic, well developed, broad, and curved at apical section. Female similar to male, but a little darker; shining. Forceps simple, contiguous, tapering.
